Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

I wud say this we have to face if you want to earn money in this world. Its upto the individual to decide on the balance.Ppl in US work the same way.You have to change yourself and make your balance. There is no hard and fast rule for this.

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

For maintaining motivation, it is important that there is a balance between family and profession.

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

when we die the only people that matters is the family...but keep them happy we have to be successfull...so the balance has to has to be there

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

it is nearly impossible to balance them if you are working in a stressfull production environment..

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

many people initially go for money and whn they realize its too tough to balance..its too late....so its up to us to take decisions judiciously and establish a proper balance as v r earninf for our family..

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

It is a challenge for a women especially, if she is working
It is very hard for her to decide the priorities

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

I think in India its a problem actually sometimes man and woman both have to sacrifice their career due to families. Woman specially girls cannot work for long time before marriage and after marriage job depends on her family.
and for boys specially in the field of marketing where job is touring based they also face problems in tours after marriage.
In India we have to make an adjustment with our profession for our family most of the times unlike US where there is a work culture and family comes after profession.

Its a big problem but as literacy rate and mindset of Indians will change it will not longer remain a problem.

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

its totaly a questionof personal choice....if the person wants to give money his 1st priority in life then he will def chose money n wrk... bt if he is very much for his family then its always gona b family 1st.. n everythin later... :) my personal choice wud b family... coz they are the ones i can always call mine... money is today mine.. tomorow sum1 else's...

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

balance has always been found to b streneous and has led to tension, a job which satisfies the needs of family and the man ll always help in maintaining balance

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

The profeesionalism implies the decent way of behaviour and following some set of standards. But now it is related to the official relationships and Family implies the friends and family. We enter into business and act as professionals just to fulfill our motives and one amongst them is family. Thus Family will always be ahead of profession on any day...

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

if satisfaction is gained in work then the stress does not matter at all... and the family to has to be understanding... to perform well in career we make some adjustments and sacrifices... like wise there is nothing wrong if we make some adjustments for family life too to make it atleast peaceful if not successful

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

Balance between professionalism and Family is to be maintained in every individual life, avoiding any of these would create uncertainty in an individual life.
In today’s world, everyone is working like a machine, without considering their family. Professionalism and family can be described as the two sides of the same coin as both are equally important in one's life. Our profession gives us an individual identity and financial security on the other hand family gives you an emotional and mental strength. When I got married I got dinner set as a gift but I never get time to have dinner with my family as I reach home late in night.

But if a man has all things but he didn't have any peace or calmness through out his life means it is utter waste of earning the money alone. Therefore professionalism and the family play a vital role in ones life. It looks like two eyes of a man. We can’t bear if any one gets lost.

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

the concept of balance is hypothetical! the people who are able to devote equal time to both do not excel in either...........

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

Professionalism and family can be described as the two sides of the same coin as both are equally important in one's life. Our profession gives you an individual identity and financial security on the other hand family gives you an emotional security. Neglecting any one of these could result in distress in one's life. A balance has to be maintained between the two, which is very easy to say, but to do it in practical is very difficult. In today's hitech busy lifestyle one cannot find the time to spend with his family. In Bangalore we have seen that there is increase in the number of people going to psychologists to get counseling on how to handle the stress and tension. The people of today are more inclined towards their profession and hence they get very little time to spend with their family. They may lead a luxurious life but there is absence of peace of mind.

Re: "BALANCE BETWEEN PROFESSIONALISM AND FAMILY"

It is important to keep the professional and personal family life separated at all times. A proper balance has to be maintained between the two spheres.
