This Magical Concrete Absorbs More than 800 Gallons of Water per Minute

Science is at its peak and people are making things that go above and beyond our imagination. The UK based company Tarmac has developed a concrete which has the capacity to absorb more than 800 gallons of water per minute. We live in the world where natural calamity is too often and why not; we have degraded our pristine natural Earth into a barren land. If you observe, the natural calamity ratio has increased drastically and it will continue to increase its number. The main purpose to develop such a brilliant product was to divert the rain water during a storm.
While the company itself is only a few months old, the technology has been in development for the last six years, says product development manager Craig Burgess. The USP of this concrete lies in its pores through which they drag the water down to flow into the soil underneath. The water which is stored under can be recycled and reused later. According to the company, Topmix Permeable fares well in all climates except extreme cold. In tests, it performed best in driving conditions where the speed limit was 30 miles per hour or less, and traffic was moderate to light.
Well, every good has its own evil, there are some blemished nature attach to it. The product development manager, Burgess says that the permeable pavements requires heavy maintenance due to blockage because water flows through the concrete, it can mix with the dirt underneath and harden inside the gaps, reducing the permeability. This unbelievable concrete is only available in the UK.
