The Toddler’s soliloquy

Ever wonder what a toddler thinks of the world he sees ?

Nature works in mysterious ways. It embedded a keen sense about everything in me from the very nascence into my being. From the moment I started to cry out for milk, the subtle cues of anger and resentment I show to garner my mother’s attention, or when they start to sync out of the Awww-phase ; I muttered my first words , ‘ Duddda’ and voila ; they dogged me again. I was the trophy of the drawing room for many weeks to come. People were tickling and fondling me all over again with a renewed zeal.

The point is; nature has given us advertising, lobbying, and sales skills right from the word go. you spend your lifetime unlearning that inherent gift. A few people that tapped into their own felt threatened when they saw the limitless potential of humans and came up with a tool called standardization. One tailor made to snip off the edges and create a world to fit well into their Armani without scraping it. Else how can we explain the remnants of Industrial revolution still in your schools? They have bells, departments centric to a specific purpose and overseers at various levels. Not to mention the blunt analogy to conveyor belts, of our present educational escalator system. A crude I/O process ; at the very least ; the way I see it.

People scared of hyenas in their backyard , let wolves in. If I were to be more candid I would say an bald eagle but I would rather not, as they are not the only ones. What I see is one group with straws and siphons and the other with the juice. Proud that my common sense would prevail , whence I thought that the once with the juice should have an upper hand ; But in reality it is not happening. By some weird reversal of roles the ones with siphons/straws are standing on top.

The Siphoners and straw-bearers are smart; I will give them that. They influenced the world through trends and make them think that their way is the right way vis-à-vis incorporating their system of order subtly in the education and molding the hosts to fit the conveyor belt I previously mentioned. These capitalists are more virulent than any of the microbes I was vaccinated against. It was very painful now that I think of it . Can’t they make everything like the polio drop for god’s sake?

I am afraid to grow up. I see people alive yet not living. Their lives are like clockwork. I want to be someone else in my life. One quite eager to work with people, interact with them, and be pointed towards random directions by people standing at every curve of life, and finally finding a map and folding it to just see if those directions converge at the horizon. Even if they do not, the one should have no qualms as even a trip gone badly, can make him realize that he could have packed better.
