The rise of regionalism :a threat to country's integrity

It now seems to be a distant past when we could talk about an undivided India. What's disheartening is that the people who dream of running the largest democracy of the world are the ones to sow the seeds of regionalism. The recent agenda of MNS to drive out North Indians is a shameful act, nevertheless it's supported by the people calling themselves the 'son of the soil'.
My recent experience in one of the crowded locals of Mumbai was horrifying. A well educated marathi person started howling at a guy from the east for no reason at all. His wordings "mumbai ghan ali ahein " i.e garbage have come down to mumbai was not only derogatory but a rape of integrity.

Politicians just to earn a political mielage can't be allowed to do this at the cost of the country's integrity, secularity and democracy. what do you have to say on this ?:fear:

Absolutely I agree with you.I remember reading a news paper article making Marathi a compulsory language in schools. This sounds like separating the ppl based on the language.

in mumbai was made such a great movie chak de ...which itself highlighted on the integrity of our nation and not mere states ...one great thought was being taught in the movie ...we should follow the thought our country first and at the last our states and districts...

Dude, regionalism was made for smoother function and it was easy to administer. Regionalism is the best way to run country but, as we all know people in India always wants to ruin the peaceful and healthy environment and convert it into barren land. It is good but, now people are misusing it. The latest news is that you cannot call north indian people chinki and if you do then you will be jailed for 5 years.
