Ken Jones
Associate Director, Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship
C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston
Ken Jones is Associate Director of the Wolff Center for
Entrepreneurship at the C.T. Bauer College of Business.
He has more than 25 years of experience creating, building
and selling businesses. His background includes an array
of responsibilities with documented success in the areas
of entrepreneurial development, turnaround management
consulting, software development and implementation, and e-business
creation. Mr. Jones’ background also includes experience in financial
management, sales management and strategic marketing. He is a national
speaker and instructor for the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and
consults with business owners in that industry.
Jay Steinfeld
Founder & CEO, Blinds.com
Jay Steinfeld is the founder and CEO of Blinds.com, the
world’s largest online window coverings store. After
starting a small chain of window coverings retail stores in
Houston, TX, he launched the Internet’s first blinds Web
site in 1993 and sold his company to The Home Depot in
2014. Jay is an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
He writes a weekly column for Inc. Magazine called Chief Effective Officer,
which is about becoming a more effective leader. Blinds.com awards include
the American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year, Houston's Best
Place to Work, Award of Excellence by the Better Business Bureau, and
National Call Center of the Year.
Brock Wagner
Founder, Saint Arnold Brewing Company
Brock Wagner develops the recipes for the Saint Arnold
beers based on his own home-brewing experience coupled
with a desire to create world-class beers for local tastes.
His preference is for beers with rich malty, creamy flavors
and no shortage of hops. Brock also revived the old
tradition of cask ales, a style of beer not seen distributed
in Texas since probably prior to Prohibition. Several of the Saint Arnold beers
have won awards, including from the Great American Beer Festival, the
World Beer Cup, the Real Ale Festival, the Colorado State Fair and the World
Beer Championships. Prior to starting the brewery, Brock spent six years in
investment banking working on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions
projects totaling more than $4 billion.
Craig Koopersmith
President, Skyline Displays of Houston
Skyline Displays of Houston offers Skyline trade show
and event exhibits providing 19 different exhibit systems.
The company is part of the global Skyline network of more
than 1,500 team members supplying worldwide service and
support in nearly 100 North American design centers and
representatives in 38 countries. As President of Skyline
Displays of Houston, Mr. Koopersmith is recognized as a leading Strategic
Marketing Consultant, helping business-to-business companies optimize their
market positioning, branding, and communications. He holds two patents
for recycling of hazardous refinery wastes. Since its founding in 1996, he has
assembled a talented team of almost 50 professionals at Skyline and Mpressa,
supporting the marketing needs of thousands of Houston based clients, from
sole proprietors to Fortune 100 companies.
