depends on the CRIME committed. CAPITAL punishment can be right or wrong.
if the person has committed some small crime like robbery, breaking some traffic rule or some other crime of the sort, then death sentence would be a bit too much. here some penalty shoud be imposed and person should be granted chance to improve.
but in conditions when the offense is too big and giving a chance to the convict would only result in the repeated attempt of the crime, then capital punishment is the best measure. death sentense is best suited for RAPE convicts.
in my opinion a killer should be given a chance to improve, but a rapist shoud be simply shooted in the head, or giving electric shock to death.
this is the way we can save ur community from the evil of rape.
in ARABIC countries(except for terrorists), no normal citizen dares to rape, because there the punishment for rape is so fiersome.
but in our country the graph for rape victims is increasing like anything, and the reason is that theses people know that the system is so corrupt, even if they rape some1, they can easy get away with it, if they throw some handsome money on the faces of judiciary system.
