Overview
The School of Management (SOM) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is Asia's pioneer business school for graduate studies offering Ph.D., MBA and diploma programs.

The School provides exceptional individuals with a supportive environment in which they can develop their skills and aptitudes, helping them to reach their professional goals and to serve the interests of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The School of Management was also one of the pioneer schools in discussion at the Workshop for Development and Collaboration of Asia-Pacific Business Schools in May 2001 in Seoul, Korea where a Declaration of Cooperation in “Strengthening Asia-Pacific Business Education” was signed by a Forum of Asian business schools leading to the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS).

Recognized for its multinational, multi- cultural ethos, the Institute operates as a self-contained international community at its campus located 40 km (25 miles) north of Bangkok, Thailand.

Besides the usual labs and academic buildings, the main campus includes housing, sports, and medical facilities, a conference center, and a library with over 230,000 volumes and 830 print and on-line periodicals.

One-Year EMBA Program
At A Glance
The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a professional Master Degree program for mid-to-senior level managers/administrators. Participants can complete the program in a minimum of 12 months if they follow a fast track strategy, alternatively some participants will complete the coursework in 12 months and then take another 1-3 months to complete a company research project (regular track).
Advantages

* Provides an opportunity to practicing managers to develop intercultural, analytical, leadership, and business process competencies.
* Continue working while taking Friday evening and Saturday module courses.
* International experience with two international courses (each one week intensive) in two Asian countries (rotating between China, Korea, India, Vietnam, etc.).
* A residential course (one week intensive) in Hua Hin or Phuket, Thailand.

Approach
The EMBA program follows a holistic approach by intergrating knowledge and practice across various types of market contexts, business functions and strategies.
Duration
One Year/ 3 Modules of 12-15 weeks each with breaks between each module. Plus a final research project.
Location
16 courses at the AIT campus, 2 international courses (one week intensives) in another Asian country and one residential course (one week intensive) in Hua Hin or Phuket, Thailand.
Course Delivery
All Classes will be held at the AIT Campus on Fridays (18:00- 21:00 hrs) and Saturdays (09:00- 12:00 hrs and 13:00- 17:00 hrs). Except for the two international weeks, and the residential week, which will each run as a 5-day modular course including company visits.

MBA
Our MBA Program encourages participative learning and use a variety of interactive learning methodologies. Our programs are designed for students to learn latest management concepts, techniques and tools, but more importantly, to develop skills and attitude of listening and understanding others, holistic thinking, collective decision making, leading by example, communicating, negotiating, being sensitive to societal concerns etc.

The School provides exceptional individuals with a supportive environment in which they can develop their skills and aptitudes, helping them to reach their professional goals and to serve the interests of countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The curriculum is necessarily interdisciplinary, integrating as it does elements from engineering, economics, social psychology and management fields. It is structured in such a way as to include the integrated components of the school required courses, electives or focus courses, and/or an MBA Project or Research Study.
 
Re: Thailand UNI:Dual Degree Programs Asian Institute of Technology

Dual Degree Programs
AIT-School of Management, in partnership with French (ESCP-EAP Paris, EDHEC, CERAM Sophia-Antipolis, and INT Management) and German institutions (HHL - Leipzig, European Business School) nominates and facilitates AIT MBA students enrolled to the Dual Degree Program to complete two semesters in one of the above French or German Business School/University. The students opting for a dual degree program would have to extend one semester, where the fifth semester of consist of a research study at SOM, AIT.

After satisfactory completion of all the academic and professional requirements, the students will then be eligible for the Master of Business Administration degree from AIT as well as the corresponding Master's degree from the business school in which a student enrolls under the dual degree program.

The Dual Degree MBA Program will assist the students in organizing their study period in France & Germany (visa, flight reservation, and accommodation, insurance and medical coverage in France) but is in no way responsible for any academic, logistical or other personal matters that may arise during a student’s study period in France.

Full or partial funding is available to cover the cost of living in France as well as Germany depending on the candidate academic performance at AIT as well as during the professional experience and project.

Eligibility Conditions

1st year MBA students of the School of Management (SOM).
*
Minimum CGPA of 3.25 in 1st & 2nd semester.
*
Professional experience is usually required.

English level: international standardized test such as IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent level.
