...do u ppl stil think that companies like reliance and airtel would be able to hold on to their top spots in the indian market wid companies like Tata teleservices and aircel coming up with plans to capture the whole Telecom market......do provide me wid ur views ppl.. :) :SugarwareZ-062:

Docomo is the most interestin thing to happen in today's times.......wid so much of netwrk conjestion n ppl havin to pay for the whole minute even if they tok for 1 sec....docomo totally revolutionizes the market.....ppl have started shifting to docomo frm oder gsm operators like vodafone n airtel simply bcoz they are getin better, cheaper n very reasonable services from tata docomo......a totally new level and dimension to the competition has been added nw...(i myself ditched airtel for docomo) :P :D

Well i think now in future we are going to see tough fight for top spot for the best telecom services provider. Its clear by the way in which companies like AIRCEL, TATA G.S.M are marketing their product, specially Aircel has made it clear that their main focal point will be the youth section who is having great craze for internet and other V.A.S services. Their pocket internet plan of 98/- and 1200 national SMSes for 60 rupee are very interesting and attracting the youth of country.
If we consider other companies then two new mobile operators are going to enter in market very soon these operators are - Swaan telecom, Loop mobile. So i think competition in telecom sector is going to be much more interesting as due to this cut throat competition ultimate benefits will go to consumers. Airtel i think its on maturity stage they are not coming up with innovative schemes and offers which can pose threat to their top position in G.S.M sector. whereas it seems that people are fed up with reliance old and hectic schemes and they are looking for something new and if relaince does not make some interesting inclusions in its current offers and services i think that day is not so far when reliance will struggle in the market created by itself.

Its correct. Even Tata Indicom started new plans like pay for the First minute and the rest of the call is free. Similar paln introduced by Bharti & Essar too.

with so many service providers in the market...the customers are the ones who are going to get all the benefit...with docomo only charging the for no. of seconds... ,virgin mobile paying people for the incoming calls...the marketing strategies can go to any level..
the service provider with the best service will stay in the market..
mtnl due to its bad service..has already lost a lot of its market share..

now with the competition increasing the service providers will go on marketing the second base of their services...i.e the value added services..like vodafone did with its zoo zoo ads....

wel this scheme is a lil dubious in nature.....as we all knw there is one tool that all cell phne operators exercise...TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLIED. the terms in this are that u get to tok for 10 mins at the cost of the 1st min....n then frm the 11th min onwards they charge u like normal operators do_minute wise. bt stil the best part is that u can tok for 10 mins and then disconect ur cal n again cal for 10 mins at the cost of 1 :) bt there surely are better schemes available in aircel and virgin; the best bein the postpaid ones.
