Talking talking talking talk, Baby let's just knock it off

Bilateral meeting between Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif

Well, we all remember that swashbuckling and heartthrobing Heartless song from Kanye west and it seems like totally fits at the current situation between India and Pakistan. Pakistan defense minister Khawaja Asif nuclear attack threat and yesterday a BSF trooper was killed in cross border firing in Jammu and Kashmir. Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif have finally found solution to the problem and that is ‘just talk’. The bilateral meeting has been arranged between Indian PM Narendra Modi and Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif.
"It is confirmed. PM @narendramodi and PM Nawaz Sharif will have a bilateral meeting in Ufa tomorrow at 9.15 am (9.45 am IST) on sidelines of SCO Summit," Indian external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted on Thursday. Even from the Pakistan side we got the confirmation details.
"I can confirm that Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif andNarendra Modi will be having a bilateral meeting tomorrow (Friday) morning in Ufa and there is no ambiguity about it," Foreign Office spokesman Qazi M. Khalilullah said in his media briefing in Islamabad. Khalilullah said "all important issues would come under discussion."
All the issues related trade and terrorism would be discussed but there is no guarantee that it will be implemented. After peaceful meeting something terrible happened in Border and we again set dates for meeting. It is an exceptional step to sit and talk for peace and find solution to the problem but as soon the meeting ends attack on border charge up leaving myriads of unanswered question. Meeting will raise questions about why Pakistan released Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, mastermind of 26/11.
As The Telegraph noted, Modi, like his predecessor Manmohan Singh, has come to the realisation 'that talks with Pakistan remain a key option that can no longer be ignored.' India made the first move in this case when Modi telephoned Sharif on 16 June to convey Ramadan greetings and stressing the need for peaceful and bilateral ties.
"That's an argument straight from the policy school of Modi's predecessor Manmohan Singh," noted The Telegraph.
"'You can't choose your neighbours' was Singh's refrain when questioned about persistent criticism he faced as Prime Minister from the then Opposition BJP for attempting to hold talks with Pakistan," The Telegraph report further added.
It is very tricky and takes strenuous effort to maintain relationship with Pakistan and dustup between these two countries seems like never going to end. There have been unrelenting attacks on border looks like beyond the control of Nawaz Sharif. Meetings are held for conclusion and not for flaunting honey gesture. If they really want to maintain peace then they have to stop such blabbering dustup and focus on improving relationship.
