First prepare yourselves mentally for exams.
Develop habit of judging the question. This will come out of practice. It helps to to select easy questions on the exam day. Just by looking at the question try to guess the difficulty level.

The previous year question papers will help you get an idea of what you should actually expect in the entrance exam. You will be able to work accordingly. Try solving the papers by yourself without any external aids.
The toughest thing to tackle in entrance is to efficiently manage the time that is allotted.In order to manage your time usefully , you should write the previous year’s papers on your own by setting the same time limit as in the paper. See how many questions you were able to successfully attempt. Work on this and improve you time taken per each question. Does not spent time on a question which you do not know rather mark those you do not know and continue with ones which you know. If you have time to attend the tough questions even after completing the easy ones, only then should you go with them.
Procrastination is your biggest enemy. Beware of procrastination.
