HEY GUYZ :SugarwareZ-064:

Believe it or NOT....

Hundreds of people flocked to a beach in the Indian city of Mumbai after reports the seawater had turned sweet.

Several people who drank the muddy water from the Arabian Sea said it had been changed by a miracle and could now cure illnesses.

"This water is definitely sweet--a man told news agency,I will carry this back for my two sons and my parents," he added.

people of mumbai were drinking the sea water which contains thousands of tonnes of raw sewage and industrial waste every day.

The samples have been sent for chemical analysis and bacterial analysis...And after the chemical analysis it wil be clear wheter the sea water ACTUALLY turned sweet because of MIRACLE or It was a Chemical reaction....till we get answer frm the laboratory. lets us give our own view about this thing.....

can we have your view ?????? :SugarwareZ-191:

That was an article gaurav.. this is a discussion..

From what I feel it was neither a miracle nor a chemical reaction.

Maybe it was just as simple as having a better ratio of sweet rain water due to heavy rains to the salt water.

As scientists have commented, some time in every year, sea water is sweet.

Drinking that water is soo obviously dumb because all the sewage and garbage is let in that water.

Also, hundreds of people were standing in that water with their dirty feet, some bathe in it.

Its just nasty to drink it .

i agree. Thats what i posted in the other thread that the water would be very contaminted and this is a chemical reaction of the sweet and sour water.

Anway, how about merging both the threads.... eh kartik?

IMO people are plain crazy, atleast those who drank the water, bathe in it and wot not. Few years back it was Ganesh drinking milk..then Mahim water n now Sai Baba drinking milk..wot nxt?? Some other God drinking RED BULL...even then people were crazy ..n even now..Cudnt they see the brackish water, the colour of d water which they were drinking...Cudnt they think that if God really wanted to do a miracle wudnt he do it in some better place than Mahim creek!!!

You can say the hype was partially because it was besides mahim creek... because it has a darga nearby and people thought its "allah ka karishma"

yeah u r right abt that Kartik. I read tat in d papers..

hey kartik

i think people didnt created hype coz darga was near to that place...it happend b'cos the water according to them Actually changed from salty to sweet.may b its a chemical reaction but the fact is that it had changed in to sweet water
and yes ppl shouldnt have consume that dirty water.atlest they should have thought something abt their and thier familys health !!!!

Jackie Chan Back on Mp .. Missd u reliance de bande :p

Well it's easy to call people insane....it's simple either u beileve or not!!..

Mr Logoman is baaaackk!!

My views is similar to Kartik. You can have faith but not blind faith. Can u ever justify human sacrifices, which take place in some remote parts of our country? In that case also the person committing the sacrifice has faith that killing some child will help him in some way or the other..But can u ever justify that? No ways!!

Similarly cudnt atleast the colour of the water and the fact that it is gutter water atleast influence the people in not drinking them....That's why I called them crazy

dude, lots of crazy things happen...... Education , can't always change ur faith. Remember the Ganesha episode some 10 yrs back? I had to toil in Delhi's hot summer to find one damn packet of milk.

Yet, ppl do crazy stuff. Many amongst those who drank that water, would have done so, to check, if it really turned sweet...... thinking that there might be some miracle.

For others, faith is something after which they dun consider common sense to be worth of anything. This might be an irony, but very true.

The fact, that faith and religion drives the thinking of a majority of people in India more than their common sense, is hard hitting, but true.

Gaurav @ times that is what I find the most wierd. That even eduated people are at times blinded by faith. Regd the Ganesh episode..lets just forget education for a second. But couldn't people see that gutters were overflowing with milk..Didn't it strike their mind that if Ganesh does drink milk, how come hes wasting such a lot..

And I would say that ur taking part in the milk incident was just because of ur immaturity. It was 10 years back..that wud make u 13 to 14 yrs old then...I can bet if such a thing repeats itself today..you will definately not do the same. And even illiterate or literate people could have just understood that the Mahim creek is gutter water.

lolz... i wasnt ready to do that even then, but it was the maternal compulsion that made be slog for nearly an hr or two on my rickety bicycle in the scorching heat of delhi...:big_grin::big_grin::big_grin:

That just justifies that even a 13 yr old kid has a understanding about what is right and what is not.

The real miracle was not the salty water turning sweet but rather the fact that none of the thousands of people who drank that murky water(i felt like puking even watching them drink) fell ill.

hiii neraj...............ur view is 100% right.... -->The real miracle was not the salty water turning sweet but rather the fact that none of the thousands of people who drank that murky water
