How can we survive job cuts n layoffs in the current scenario...

This is one question which has haunted many of the employees of different companies at different places. We all know the meltdown in the US,UK,etc..Then falling oil prices have sent a shiver through opec countries.People in Dubai are leaving their cars on the airport and flying back to India after companies have decided the job cuts. This is a very bad situation. So how can one save his job in the recession?Working hard in the office for long hours or maintaining relationships with big shots and colleagues in the company..

No hardworking, People should go for multitasking, single person has to do many jobs, smartly efficiently, and with less cost

I totally agree with all of u tht these r the times only multitasking people would be able to survive since it's the survival of the fittest. company would keep only tht person who is multitasking & ready to take intitiatives & responsiblitites

Layoff is NOT an end of life - you can always get another job - or review your shortcomings, improve yourself and get a better job.

To avoid it - always be open to learning, to multitasking - have a flexible attitude, a team-spirit - and yes always keep an eye or an ear open to know what might come ahead.

The basic aim of every employee shud be to maximize his contribution to the organization he is working for. I guess, if that is the attitude adopted, there shud be no fear of getting layed off in tough times.
