I currently have my own consultancy business, strachan and partners, and undertake strategic consultancy projects and turnaround interim roles, both in the uk and overseas.

I am a determined, committed and forward thinking
leader with a clear focus on the delivery of strategic
business objectives and business performance. I
have a strong, diverse business acumen and
experience, with a proven record in the delivery of
results and the management of key relationships. I
have had a solid career, working in or with, a number
of large, medium or small service, contracting and
consultancy companies, across a number of industry sectors, both in the
UK and internationally.
I currently have my own consultancy business, Strachan & Partners, and
undertake strategic consultancy projects and turnaround / interim roles,
both in the UK and overseas. I also hold a number of non-executive
chairman & director positions in UK companies or organisations.
From 2007 to mid 2012, I was also Chief Executive of Albyn Ventures, a
business investment group. Prior to that, I was a director and Chief of
Staff of Petrofac Operations Services, a major division of Petrofac PLC
and the Chief Executive of the global Petrofac Training Group. Petrofac
Training was created in February 2004, when Petrofac acquired the
RGIT Montrose Group, which had been acquired in April 2003 by a MBO
Team led by myself. Prior to RGIT Montrose, I worked for divisions of
Liberty Mutual and the Maersk Group in a number of senior management
or strategic change management roles.
I am the current Vice Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Exchange in
Scotland and have undertaken numerous charitable roles in the past.
I live between Bridge of Allan & Aberdeen, in Scotland with my partner
Carol. We have three children, all of whom have left home.
