Beekay, an established & reputed name for manufacture of equipment and EPC contracts in the field of Blast Furnaces, Sponge Iron plants, Coke Ovens, Rolling Mills, Steel Making, Casters and Material Handling was founded by Late Seth Balkrishanji, father of Shri Vijay Kumar Gupta, the present MD of Beekay Engineering Corporation. The company was established in 1966. The founder was a visionary and did foresee the potential of Engineering & manufacturing unit in Bhilai as the place became important in the industrial map of the country due to Bhilai Steel Plant.

Beekay, started with manufacture of Spares for Bhilai Steel Plant. Later, it began catering to the requirements of complete equipment for Bhilai and other steel plants under SAIL umbrella at Rourkela, Durgapur & Bokaro. Gradually the group was accepted as a reliable original equipment manufacturer by SAIL and became a regular supplier for Indian Steel Industry. Beekay entered the field of turnkey projects in 1987 as a logical sequence to its manufacturing experience to gainfully utilize its expertise and capabilities accumulated over the years.

Major Projects under execution include HM Desulfurisation at VSP & BSP with ESM, USA; Rebuilding works package for COB# 6 at Bhilai; Rebuilding of Quenching Tower at BSL at Bokaro with Hutni Projects, Czech Republic; Hot Blast System at BF# 2 at Bokaro;and installation contract for Tata Projects 4060M3 blast furnace project at SAIL, Rourkela. Installation of Bar & Rod Mill at SAIL,Bhilai with Danieli & C Officine Meccaniche SpA, Italy.

Beekay has extensive and modern manufacturing facilities to provide best of services to its esteemed customers. The fabrication shop has annual capacity of over 18,000 MT of technological structures and 6000 MT of equipments.About 18,000 MT of Building steel structures are fabricated & erected at sites.
