Stock Market - Is it really a good investment Ave.

yes stock market is really a good avenue for investments..but people who just rely on the tips surely loses money...every person should have their concepts cleared as to why he is investing in any company..

Exactly... Stock market is good for those who are patient...
Long term investment will always prove fruitful... whereas short term trading is not going to help anyone... hmmm... thats wat investment pundits also says...

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

yes tre i have also experienced the same..but it surely a good ave if you use it for long term and with knowledge

One of the Best investment avenues. investment should be made after through analysis. and business cycle also taken care of

The only thing that has to be taken care of is:

For Short Term : Follow Technical Analysis (Price, Volume and patterns).

For Long Term : Follow Fundamental Analysis (Financial Ratios, Cash Flow etc)

Stock Market is one of the best investment instruments from investor as well as Corporate perspective. The alternative instruments real-estate, bonds and even gold has a one-sided tilt. This tilt in the ultimate analysis do not give the same return option. The core of stock investment is portfolio management rather than speculation. The Portfolio also depends on analysing the macro-economic thrust, industry environment and then the company's SWOT. It is a funnel approach. You may call it cautious investing but I call it sensible investing. I don't recall having lost in Stocks in last 12 years including sept. crash.

yes it is a real good investment, provided the investment is made after thorough analysis... moreover this is a good time to invest in stocks.....and in no place the money is doubled. but at the same time, u can also loose all your money also if invested without careful analysis..

Stock market is a good investment avenue, but unless and until one knows it thoroughly it is not advisable to enter.
One need to invest amt proportionately to the loss one can bare, also greediness leads to huge losses.
One needs to do his own research and not follow others.

Hi,,,as per my view i think stock market is good avenue for investments why because for long time its the best but caution need to be maintained a some kind of minor study on the stock selected by people...also,, people should not follow the princpals of greed & fair...Always set a particular returns tht u would like for the kind of stock let say 20 /30 % etc.......ALso diversify dont keep limitation to one particular stock or sector because this will help to minimise ur risk to greater extent.......

Hey guys well m new to MP but my 5yrs of active trading in stock markets have taught me 1 important lesson. Buy on dips and sell on rise. Nw this seems to be theory. But its quite simple. Its said tht markets work on 2 basic princpls of greed and fear. Greed of earning more and fear of losing all. But the best way is to make ur own targets based on ur financial requriments say a gain of 30% or 40% or even 100% and wait for that target but make sure you sell once you achieve ur targets and dont regret later on even if th prices go further up coz u have achievd wht u wntd. No u can understnd the gain potential of a stock by looking at its past trends and volumes with which it is traded and its 52 week high and low. all these simple parameters will give u a fair idea of its daily momentum and start trading accordingly. U can deploy say 30% of ur total capital into short term trading like buying and holding max for a month another 30% for medium term say 1 month to 6 months and remaining 40% for a long term i.e. 1 yr and above.

Well theory of buy on dips and sell on rise works well in bull market, but in bear market it's sell on rise and cover on fall..... one may not find much difference in both but the important thing is which activity to be initiated first..... In bull market you wait for dips to buy and sell that holding on rise whereas in bear market you wait for rally to short sell and cover it when fall comes...

Its very hard to predict stock market. Small investors should always be carefull to invest in the market. However there are lots of positive after the elections in the market.

considering the present scenario.... there will be few more corrections in the market in the coming quarter... one should wait up to last quarter of the year to decide upon investment

Folks _ I have been in the stock market for 3 years and have started wondring if it is really a good investment Ave.

Good, Bad or Ugly?

It has given me great cash backs. But any small mistake has ruined my investment to great extent.

even though I have started measuring the stock based on the fundamental as well the technical parameter. The love for holding the stock has taken away small gain and has runied the whole capital expenditure.

According to me, it is important to understand the trends in the stock market. I can advise you that before investing in real, work for your investments virtually. There are many virtual online trading sessions available on the net. You can have a look on them sectorwise i.e. analyze which sector is booming or vice-versa. This can also help u to take accurate and precise decision and may really help you to avoid taking wrong decisions.

How To Invest In Share Market ?

Share Market

Share Market is a place where everyone take bath in order to taste the money. But it purely depends on the fundamentals, luck, global cues, behavior of other country markets, currency rate
, Forex rates, currency trading etc. Trading is done in terms of the shares. These shares are the name of the companies which gets listed, generally. Also the share price varies time to time even second by second, if the variation graph is critical.

Types Of Sectors

There are various sectors in the share market. Some of the known sectors are Oil, Reality meaning RealEstate, Construction, Finance, Telecommunication, Refineries, Steel, Broking firms, Food and beverages, Metals, Jewelery, Packing, Consumer Goods etc. The best sector to invest is the decision taken by the investors understanding the fundamentals of the company, turnover, volumes traded, balance sheet and so on.

Identify the Best Sector

As we saw above there are lot of sectors available in front of the investors. But which sector one should choose that will give good returns in short term and long term investments. If the economy is weak and the world is facing a financial pressure or crisis then it is tough to identify the sector as every sector would get affected.

So it is better to pick up the mid cap stocks that will not go worse in near future. Because large cap stocks will plunge and surge drastically like anything. If you were caught at the peak say January 2009. then it is tough to get to that level.

How To Invest ?

This is the first question a person asks himself and approaches others when he wants to invest in sharemarket. Basically you should have a clear vision when you want to reap the benefits that is the returns.

If you want to pullout the invested money in short term, you should choose the critical moving sectors and shares and also don't act blindly on the third party suggestions. If you want to have the investment to be taken by your generation, then you can go for Long Term investment.

In long term investment one should analyze the pure fundamentals of the company, the dividend amount it pays to the share holders, the capital and the percentage of share ratio between the company and the public.

Terms Of Investment

Basically investors should go for two types of investments, short term and long term.
Short term investments are one that an investor will buy stocks and keep in his portfolio for at least 3-6 months. Gain must me kept in mind and thus the selection of stocks plays vital role here. Equity advisor consultancy is recommended.

Long term investments are one that an investor will buy stocks and keep in his portfolio for more than 6 months and for years. Here portfolio management is very important as many tax free income flashes the eye like Dividend, investment duration etc.

Share Trading Houses

Generally shares are traded electronically today and these process is done through the brokerage houses and from exchanges like Bombay Stock Exchange BSE and National Stock Exchange NSE.

Some of the well known brokerage houses are ICIC Direct, Reliance money, Sharekhan, HDFC Securities, India Infoline, Mangal Traders etc.
Share Tips, trading tips are provided by these houses to their customers regularly.
