After two days of terrific sporting action, Sangharsh concluded with the third day comprising of men's Basketball and Cricket finals among other sporting events. Although from the results of most events that had concluded, it was fairly evident that IIM Ahmedabad would complete its hat trick. Calcutta swept both the Cricket and Basketball finals early morning, but it wasn't enough for them to catch up with Ahmedabad.

As was expected, IIMA clinched Sangharsh with 145 points. IIMC came second with 112 points with IIMB at 85 and IIML at 76. This third victory of IIM Ahmedabad was fuelled by gold in Badminton, Carom, Football, Squash, Frisbee, Swimming, Throwball, Table Tennis (W) and Volleyball. IIM Calcutta fought hard dominating Basketball, Chess, Cricket and Tennis. While IIM Bangalore & IIM Lucknow put up a tough fight in several sports, they were only able to manage two and one gold respectively. Nonetheless, the spirit of sportsmanship was evident in all games across different sports as IIM A came alive with an energy that was contagious.

One thing that particularly stood out this Sangharsh was the late inclusion of Kabaddi as a non-medal sport. The young college crowd particularly took a strong liking to this sport as was evident from the healthy turnout that both the men and women Kabaddi finals witnessed later into the night on Day 2.

As a certain cricket commentator would put it in a cliche, at the end of the day 'Sports was the winner.' events like Sangharsh not only foster strong inter-college bonding among the four oldest IIMs, they also serve well-deserved breathers for management graduates in their otherwise busy schedules. They ignite a healthy feisty competitive spirit and with the campus buzzing with old friends and foes, they also create a welcome change of environment, albeit a short one.
