Programme & seats
The flagship program offered by SPJIMR Mumbai is Post Graduate Diploma in Management or PGDM. The number of seats offered for this program is 180.

Eligibility
The eligibility criterion for applying to SPJIMR is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University in any Discipline.

Short listing criteria
The MBA entrance exams whose score will be accepted by SPJIMR Mumbai are CAT 2011, XAT 2012 and GMAT 2011. The cut off percentile is 85 for CAT 2011 and XAT 2012 and a score of 680 in GMAT.

SPJIMR also gives out profile based calls. Explaining the process of profile based calls, SPJIMR says, “People getting calls in the second list are the people who have good profiles but have narrowly missed out on getting a profile based call. Getting a good CAT or XAT score increases their overall net score (Overall score of a candidate depends on your Profile, work experience, extracurricular activities, academics, CAT or XAT or GMAT score). For example, a person with a very good profile and 96 percentile in CAT has a better chance of getting a call than a person who has an average profile with a 99.9 percentile in CAT. But if both of them have similar profiles then the person with 99.9 percentile will get the call.”

SPJIMR also mentions, “If a person who has a profile based call does not get the minimum percentile mentioned for CAT or XAT then he/she will not be considered for admission. The minimum overall percentile score required is 85 (total) for CAT and XAT. Sectional scores are not taken into account.”

According to SPJIMR, your net score does not depend upon the average of the CAT or XAT scores uploaded. The better percentile in CAT or XAT is considered for evaluation.

Selection Process
SPJIMR mentions that securing a final call for admission depends upon a net cumulative score based on your Profile, work experience, extracurricular activities, CAT or XAT or GMAT score, academics and performance in your Group interview rounds.

Fees
The tuition fee for the PGDM in the academic year of 2011-13 was Rs. 8.70 lakh. The fee for the academic year 2012-14 is yet to be announced by the B-School.

Important Dates
The last date to apply for the program is Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Tentative date for the interview process is from January 2012 to March 2012 at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.
