For improvement concerning anything weather reading or writing, a person should do hard work. Must dedicate some time for reading as many stuffs possible which must be connect towards their subject. Keeping a good regular reading habit will not only improve your communication but will enhence the present level by day to day updates. Now a days there are many medium of which explore us so getting knowledge is not a difficult job. so taking out time for something will never get waste untill and unless you are not on the right track. Communicating with people (friends,parents & others) around you in English all the time will improve ones fluency and efficiency. Discover new words by reading books and newspapers. Mostly people cant speak because of lack of knowledge. Knowledge plays very important role in communication. Furthermore, if you have knowledge you can convince others with your ideas (say in GDs).

Improving communication skills doesnt mean u need to train only in english...
Yes it is an important language that all of us need to know..but it is not the only thing in communication...
reading a lot of stuff of English novels.. Hindi magazines etc...can improve communication skills as our vocab develops a lot by this habit..
similarly by learning new languages .. listening to it..can help us communicate with people very well...
