It is not possible to say what can be ideal, since the since the cut offs and, correspondingly, the ranks will vary each year. However, since you've a work-ex for 5 yrs, you will definitely have an edge over other candidates.

Moreover, whether it is 5 yrs or 2 yrs, it doesn't matter. Anything above 2 yrs is given the same score. You may, however, contact someone who got admitted and had work-ex. That might give you a fair idea.

Go through Competition Success Review and Manorama.... Besides that read through newspapers and magazines to know the latest current affairs. PT India offers many files on "Drishti" which are GK capsules. Search the forum for <Dhristi> and you can get the info.
 
hi how much preference will they give for work experience and how many months of work experience is counted valid and how 2 prepare for gd and regarding personal interview will they ask related 2 work experience or from college crriculum...plz let me know if u have any ideas regarding this
