In my opinion skill learnt from experience is much more useful than the class room.

In classroom u will only imagine a situation and give solution according the aspect u know but by experiencing live problem make u more strong and give u ability to analyze every aspect and then take decision which can not be forgotten for lifetime.

I agree, experience is a great teacher but as a wise man rightly pointed out : "Learn from others mistakes".

I think whatever we learn in classroom is also widely accepted standards and theories developed from failures and successes of other businesses and individuals.

While first hand experience is the best teacher, its very difficult to get your hands on everything and that's where education plays a crucial role.

Also "mentor" is another important part of learning skills because he guide you how to act in given situation. He will prompt you well before if any thing goes wrong, give direction where u should go and what is the right way that u need to follow.

He will actually give u learnings that he get from his mistakes and from his experience about other mistakes.

I think both classroom & experience have there part to play in live. Classroom is play where warning is given to you on your mistake but experience only comes with pain & disappointment.
