The Singapore Institute of Management is one of Singapore's oldest and largest comprehensive education solutions provider. SIM possesses in-house expertise to award its own degrees, partners prestigious universities to offer quality foreign academic programmes, engages international thought leaders to train corporate executives and provides its corporate and individual members with an effective platform to learn and network.

Founded in 1964 as a membership society, SIM is Singapore's premier management and human resource development organization. It provides a comprehensive range of full-time and part-time academic programmes through its partnership with prestigious overseas universities and institutions. With an enrolment exceeding 10,300. SIM offers more than 50 academic programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels. Annually, more than 13,000 corporate executives are trained through about 600 seminars, workshops and conference it organises. SIM also has a well-established in company training and consultancy services.

SIM has a membership base of more than 20,000 corporations and individuals. It has created an effective nexus for its members to network and keep pace with industry and professional developments through interest group activities, talks and seminars.

Quality and excellence have always been at the top of SIM's agenda.

In 2002, SIM attained the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) for business excellence. The SQC recognises organisations with a commendable record of performance, productivity and quality. In 2003, SIM was awarded Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations, an enhanced SQC programme for business excellence in the education sector.

Prior to these awards, SIM was also the first education and training institute in Asia to be awarded the PSB ISO 9002 (1993) as well as the first educational and training institute in Singapore to achieve the People Developer Standard (1999), an award that recognises its commitment to staff development.

SIM University (UniSIM) is Singapore's 4th university dedicated to serving society through excellence in flexible learning for adults. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Singapore, to award its own degrees, the university has a current enrollment of more than 6,000 students. These comprise mainly adult learners in Singapore, pursuing degrees, diplomas and certificates through close to 60 academic programmes in the Arts & Social sciences, Business. Human Development & Social Services, and Science & Technology disciplines.


Facilities on Campus:

A Resource Rich Campus:

As an SIM student, you will enjoy excellent facilities at two campus grounds - the main SIM Headquarters at Clementi Road, and the SIM Management House at Namly Avenue.

Sitting on 34,000 square metres of prime land. SIM Headquarters houses 38 lecture theatres, 42 tutorial rooms, 2 seminar rooms and 12 computer labs. The vast campus is the heart of all academic and student activities and can accommodate up to 12,000 students.

Complementing the facilities at SIM Headquarters is the SIM Management House which serves as the primary location for SIM's membership activities, and executive seminars.

Specially designed with the student in mind, the SIM campus offers a conducive ambience for learning and interaction. Easily accessible by bus and MRT. getting to and from campus is a breeze.

Bookshops at SIM Headquarters and SIM Management House serve as convenient one-stop centres for all your academic resource needs.

When hunger pangs beckon, just head on down to any of the three cafeterias on campus and tuck in to a wide assortment of culinary delights, from Chinese and Muslim to Western and Japanese.

In 2005, we scored 22 first class honours from the University of London (UOL) Bachelor of Science programmes, arguably the largest number form a single institution in the UOL's external programme to date. Also, in 2005, nine students graduated with Distinction from the Diploma in Economics programme. Over the years, five of their graduates have received scholarships to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Recent employment surveys showed that over 77% of SIM RMIT Bachelor of Business in Business Administration graduates in 2005 received two or more job offers within 6 months. The employment rate of SIM RMIT graduates as at August 2005 was healthy 93.3%.
