In the vibrant fabric of Porbandar, the trust continues to quietly weave stories of compassion and solidarity. The name 'Rasikbapa' isn't just associated with food; it symbolizes a community rallying together to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry. In a world often enamored by superlatives, here's a story where the extraordinary lies in the simplicity of a shared meal, nurturing both bodies and spirits alike.

Sw. Rasikbapa Rotlavalā Seva Samiti' has been unwavering in its commitment to kickstart the annual food distribution event in Porbandar, coinciding with the 6-day celebration of Janmashtami. This festivity attracts thousands, where while many revel in the joyous celebrations, the less fortunate find solace in the 'Melā' organized by the Seva Samiti. During this time, Rasikbapa Rotlavalā Seva Samiti initiates a remarkable endeavor – the inauguration of a temporary food distribution area, providing sustenance to the needy. In approximately three days, an estimated 3500 individuals benefit from this noble initiative.

Born in Porbandar, the illustrious Rasikbapa Rotlavalā devoted years to serving regular meals to patients at the government hospital and also initiated the annual food distribution in gatherings. Though Rasikbapa is no longer with us, his legacy endures through the tireless efforts of the dedicated volunteers. Year after year, the Seva Samiti continues to operate a food distribution area during the 'Melā,' facilitating the provision of nourishment to thousands.

During the recent Janmashtami celebration, approximately 3500 people enjoyed the benefits of the food distribution area organized by the Seva Samiti. The Rasikbapu Rotlavala Trust in Porbandar offers invaluable services, providing free meals to hospital patients and, subsequently, initiating efforts to establish schools for underprivileged children in the industrial area.

One such school in Porbandar not only imparts education without charge but also ensures essential facilities such as stationery, uniforms, notebooks, and a healthy midday meal. The Trust, led by the Raichura family, has been relentless in its commitment to providing more and more facilities for the betterment of the students. The school has become a source of inspiration for the community, serving as a model for social service.

Apart from the academic focus, the school prioritizes the physical well-being of students by incorporating a well-maintained ground for sports and recreation. The Trust ensures the safety of students through the installation of CCTV cameras. This educational initiative has proven to be a shining example of social service, addressing the educational needs of economically disadvantaged children and providing them with unparalleled opportunities.

Swimming in the deep sea of a humble heart, Bapuji, the father of Rotala, and Babapu, who resides in the heart, continues to serve in various fields at the age of 84 today. In Porbandar, where people live in huts in impoverished living conditions, seeing the condition of children and the life they lead has deeply touched Bapu's heart. Inspired by a sincere intention, he started a school after considerable effort, and today, it educates around 100 children. These children receive essential items such as uniforms, books, and stationery to complete their education. Cooperation with the community also plays a vital role in supporting these future generations. They are provided with nutritious breakfast and lunch, and in a short time, their lives have transformed positively through education and overall development. This is my observation and belief. The photo below shows Bapuji with school children, interacting with them, and reciting poems. The parents of these children now work with peace of mind, knowing that their children are on the right path, and they express gratitude for the beautiful life their children are building. Blessings to Bapuji for this noble work, which is driven by the desire to see his children walk the path of righteousness. Bapuji's blessings of strength and power to his son, more like a son, and daughter-in-law, who wish to walk on the path of Bapuji's footsteps, and a heartfelt prayer for their well-being, much like the son of Bapuji, Lord Shri Krishna.
