There are many schools in India where hindi is not compulsory...
Specially in south India..hindi is spoken by very few..
Do you think making hindi compulsory in schools will help unite India ??
Will this help in overcoming the diversities we have in the country,..??
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS..................(100 times)
Hindi being our national language needs to be compulsorily included in every school curriculum. Otherwise it would lead to unnecessary issues which politicians like Raj Thackrey create.
More importantly, a person from one place must be able to communicate with a person from another place with ease. Its only possible if they know a common language, ie, our mother tongue which is Hindi.
South Indian schools must therefore compulsorily include Hindi in their curriculum.
I wonder why Mr Kapil Sibal has not focussed upon this area. It would be wonderful if all schools in India are of same medium. No language discrimination and people would communicate with ease.
Coming back to reality, its obvious for schools now to include HINDI compulsorily for students.
Preserve our national language as all other nations do. It will undoubtedly unite the people. Also, not just Hindi but including English also may add on value to our economy considering the global perspective.
