well according to me everyone has a right to live his or her own life as he or she wants to.....well when a guy likes a girl and when a girl likes a guy we dont really oppose to such things czo we think that its natural.....its bound to happen rite? then y cant a guy like a guy and a girl like a girl...well its the same thing as i said.......its bound to happen coz its natural....and wat these gays n lesbain ppl have done dont they have a right to live??

well i really appreciate the kind of self respect BOBBY DARLING had created for himself......he is living life on his own terms n has earn money n fame....jus think wat all problems these ppl have to face.....well very very tough life and mind u they r nt abnormal they r normal ppl jus like us......

well they didnt do anything they were jus born with this kind of sexuality......is it their fault?? well i dont think so......i think that gays n lesbian relationships should definitely be legalised.....
Well Anuja,
If more ppl think like u, the world would be a happier place to live! :aj:

Accept ?WTH!!
AREn't these folks Humans too!Its like saying shouldn't "We accept Left handers too?!"
Its a nautral phenomenon so theres nothing we can do or should do.Except for Making Public Display of Affection for Lesbians "a compulsion".
Though its sad to see People like Portia De Rossi(Arrested Development the Bluth sister) to be homosexual(Man sh's haaawt)

for the previous generation it was all about religion and hiding yourself behind curtains.
i think everyone should have the liberty to express their feelings. if some people feel attracted to someone from the same side, then its not that something is wrong with them, its justa hormonal imbalance. they should be accepted as they are. you should not criticise something if it does not go with the so called "NORMAL" world.
there are so many women who fear men because of brutality done to them and they are more attracted towards women only. they find their partners more reliable and attractive.
just think how much mental pressure will build inside a person who will not be allowed to express himself/herself freely.
some of the many great men were gay. like james baldwin american autor, Drew barrymore(bisexual) , marlon brando(bisexual) [ and recent case rahul mahajan(mumbai mirror 6 june 2006)]etc, etc,
these people are always good at art and sort of stuff.
so i believe they should be accepted into the society/...

The question here is not whether people will accept it , the question is, WHETHER THEY SHOULD ??
you make a very valid point.... i totally agree with you

it is not a disorder to be gay or lesbian .... its high time all victorian sections in ouw law are ammended ... wht problem does an individual have if a fellow countryman/woman is having different sexual preferences ???? it should not bother us .....

I dont think gay or lesbian marriages should be a threat to our society though india would have difficulty in accepting it. Evry living creature has its own choice to live unless it doesn't hurt other people.... what i have to do if any of my friends or relatives are gays and want to get married that way? its their life n its their choice!!! Forcing them would the biggest mistake...coz u cannot change anybody's basic choice.... like i can't marry a person of my same gender if i am forced. that won't change my preference..... Forcing people on marriage simply spoils the lives of many..

should it be legalized or should it be not....the question remains.....???????

yes i agree that some people act and behave differently than the normal course...
the person hu happens to be a homosexual, has certain rights, which one must respect. but the point is that we indians are too shy to discuss SEX in public, it is such a taboo, that parents are against providing sex education to their children, teachers refuse to teach about sex, and height of this tabooism is, that doctors refuse to deliver child of a pregnant HIV+ lady, and we here on MP discuss abt leagalizing homosexual relations, its big time, we need to educate people around us, please dont be shy about discussing sex, for it is as normal as breathing or any other activity essential for human beings,

I personally feel it should not be accepted in Our culture, but every one has their own choice and freedom so we cannot impose

I strongly feel that same-sex marriages should be acceptable and made legal in India.

Its a matter of personal choice to decide whom to fall in love for..... And if someone gets an attraction for the same-sex, whats wrong in that? Someone can be homosexual or even bisexual............ And being a free and democratic country, we should learn to respect the feelings of others.....

"Freedom is something, where each one has the full right to enjoy his/her freedom, keeping in mind not to interfere with the freedom of others"

So guys just get a more free and open mind, and embrace the natural qualities given to different people, not only in India but also around the world...

My personal opinion is that Gays and Lesbian relationships are exactly like a heterosexual relationship. just because we haev been conditioned to believe that only a man and woman can live together, doesnt give us enough reason to oppose such relationship. there are a lot of things which we r conditioned to believe but we rebel and do wat we believe. let accepting ppl who r slightly different from us, be one of them

frm my point of view i think so there is no crime that an man like man n girl like a girl bt we have think practicle in country like india in metro cities its okh.....bt wat abt other cities..?
n our culture never accept this kind relationship wo sab aa jayenge Vishwa Hindu parishad, then Bajarang dal n all that parties so we should think openly n then then only it will be accpeted in india

hahahah when i first read the subject i thought who can discuss a marriage between a gay and lesbian :) than it hit me :)

well, a person, whtehr a male or a female, shud be given a right to have relationship with same sex ! afteralll its one's choice of how he wants to lead his life !

yo buddy i am totally with you.

Its their life and let them as they want.

If you don't like this kind of stuff stay away, but you don't have right on any other's life.

well.....
i guess same sex relationships are something tht the society will never accept, specially in India. if u see the world, recently we had a gay marraige between Elton John nd the other (donno his name)..... so as far as the west is concerned, i guess ther already exists such relationships we hear nd read in the newspapers everyday bout such incidents happenin in the west.....

but, again as i said, it is far frm being legalised in India. nd rightly so, i dont thnk it shud b legalised because it wil not potray a good picture in the minds of the kids.... ther might be cases in india too, but i strongly oppose same sex relationships being shown in India....
(psst: but u never know, this is India - kuch bhi ho sakta hai)

I think it should bee legalized..Its not their fault that they like someone from the same gender..I think its wrong to impose compulsions on marrying someone of different sex..everyone has a right of choosing their partners and everyone includes gays and lesbians..and i think their relationship should be respected but not humiliated..

Wat i feel is that choosing a partner is very personal decision n nobody should have any rights to interfere in that. if you like the decision respect it n if u donot like the decision leave that person alone with his/her decision we should give every individual enough space in their own lives to take this decision
