Should film stars be permitted to enter politics?

It has become a profession for the film stars to enter into politics.

will they really do good for the people or are just into politics for money?
 
In india, there is hardly any rules which allows every indian to be a part of indian politics. Actors being indian can very well by their choice enter politics. The question tht thy will do sum good or bad would lie with thr personal decision. As if the politicians 4m heart-core political families do gud....
 
Of course, why would being a film star disqualify them from entering politics? It's their job and they are as much as the citizen of the country as we are.
What they do on or off screen while being film stars, is all part and parcel of their job requirements. While being a hot shot film star, if you are not constantly in the news, or in the gossip circles... You will no longer be a hot shot film star

According to me they should stick to their filmy portal, No doubt they would do good, but excess drama people won't be able to digest. So they are good In what they are doing..and when it come it permit, as dimpy said there are hardly any rules for indian So they can if they want to, It totally depends on their willingness..and decision
 
Film stars enter politics mainly bcos they already have fan base which will make life easier for them for crowd-pulling. Already,film stars are celebrities so the bargaining power will increase in the political arena.Always,politics gives you more ROI than the film industry.One gets name,fame,power besides horde of cash in politics.Should we allow them to enter politics? We cannot stop the film stars from entering since our electoral rules are not very stringent.It permits almost everyone to contest elections.

These people dont have any business mending the already rotten state of politics in. A healthy combination is fine. If politics calls upon them, then they have the freedom to switch over from acting to politics. As the saying goes "politics is the last resort of a scoundrel"I think this industry will suit film stars to the core as they belong to such one., on the lighter side subhash nair. Considering they have such a huge following, and if they have a social conscience, then actors could use their clout to bring about social changes and this would be refreshing from the hard core politicians who often shirk responsibilities while diligently lining their nests.
 
Film stars are also humans and should only enter politics like any other normal person. A film star with political ambitions/qualities should also be entitled to turn to politics.
