Short Stack Are Back!!![/b]

Short Stack announced their split way back in 2012 and past two years have been a hellish ordeal for their fans. Eight years can be such a difficult year. But now the trio has stunned the music world by announcing a return tour and new single Television.

If you try to recapture yesterday you will only lose tomorrow, Diviney sagely told his screaming fans as he launched his solo career. He went on to combine his love for Blink-182 and Justin Timberlake on his solo EPSex Games and tour his band Diviney as a five-piece, featuring Tim Commandeur from Operator Please on drums. Now it’s clearly time to recapture yesterday again. Diviney, bassist Andy Clemmensen and drummer Bradie Webb will play shows at Ormond Hall in Melbourne and Sydney’s Metro. According to the press release, Television re-invents the anthemic hooks, the rock attitude and exhilarating energy that Short Stack were known for when their Stack Is the New Black and This Is Bat Country albums annoyed the parents of pre-teen punks. Listen to Television below.

Short Stack rival 360 and current pre-teen fan faves 5 Seconds of Summer are yet to comment on the band’s return. The band’s split came as they were recording their third album but have since made amends and are creatively back on track and itching to get back on the road and re-connect with their legion of dedicated fans. Front man Shaun Diviney released a solo EP, Sex Games, during the break it might have passed you by.

The announcement of their comeback is coupled with new single Television, and so far it seems that despite the fact their fan base has got old (at least 16 or 17 by now) they’ve stuck with them. Television is currently top of the iTunes rock songs charts, just above INXS Never Tear Us Apart.
