Serena Williams: I'm strong, powerful and beautiful at the same time

Serena Williams is the strong player and an inspiration for myriads of women. Her determination and zest to win medals is what sets her apart. Serena Williams is in the second round of the US Open, determined to win a calendar Grand Slam since Steffi Graf in 1988. But, as we all know hecklers on social media always do what they are good at, heckles. The 33-year-old exceptional player has faced sexist, body-shaming and racist abuse all year. But this time she has a perfect answer to all those creepy creatures who keeps on making creepy and absurd comments on her resplendent body.
In an interview with Good Morning America on the eve of the tournament, Serena said she had “learned to love me”. I've been like this my whole life, and I embrace me and I love how I look. I love that I am a full woman, and I'm strong and I'm powerful and I'm beautiful at the same time. And there's nothing wrong with that. I just don't have time to be brought down. I have too many things to do, you know. I have Grand Slams to win. I have people to inspire. And that's what I'm here for. She told host Robin Roberts.
This is the perfect answer for all those who think that her silence is mere an example of her weakness. She is the most influential and powerful women on earth and treating someone on the basis of their colour, caste, race or any kind of discrimination is a nefarious crime. Earlier, JK Rowling jumping to Serena’s defence after a troll criticised her appearance instead of congratulating her on winning Wimbledon.
