BUSINESS ADVISOR

Locations: Knysna (1), Mossel Bay (2) Hermanus (1),
Atlantis (1), Worcester (1), Vredenburg (1)

Reporting directly or indirectly to the Manager: Special
Projects, the incumbent will provide advice and guidance in
terms of small business development and support to small
enterprises. Conduct onsite diagnostics and recommend
solutions. The incumbent will also be responsible to facilitate
the implementation of improvement interventions in terms
of growth, sustainability and innovation as well as
turnaround strategies.
Minimum Requirements: - National Diploma, B-Tech or
three year tertiary quali?cation in Business
Administration/Entrepreneurship or related ?eld; 2-4 years
experience in a similar environment; Experience as business
owner and or manager will be an added advantage. Valid
Driver’s License.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent understanding of small
enterprise development sector; Excellent organisational
ability; Ability to implement strategies and policies as well as
to identify opportunities for growth; Intermediate to
Advanced knowledge of MS Of?ce.

database of clients; Provide relevant enterprise support
advice through a network of service providers; Diagnose
assessment and recommendations of interventions; Assist
small enterprises with required managerial, technical,
?nancial advice to stimulate the development of the small
enterprises; Assist entrepreneurs in their ventures and solve
business problems with them; Promote networking and co-
operation among business enterprises.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
(2 vacancies)
Locations: Mossel Bay (1) and Atlantis (1)
Ref: RDOA/005
Reporting directly or indirectly to the Manager: Special
Projects, the Of?ce administrator will provide administrative
services at the Enterprise Development Centres in
consultation with Seda’s provincial and branch of?ces in
terms of ?nancial and human resources functions
coordination as well as management of Information and
reporting systems. The administrator will also be
responsible for capturing all data into the relevant databases.
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 and /or a recognised
Diploma in Of?ce Administration.
Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of
administration and data capturing duties. Intermediate to
advanced knowledge of MS Of?ce; Good interpersonal skills;
Numerical and analytical skills; Knowledge of Supply Chain
Management principles; Basic knowledge and
understanding of all legislation such as PFMA, King III,
knowledge on general Corporate Governance and Risk
Management principles; Knowledge of business processes.

LIAISON OFFICER (INTERN)

Locations: George (1) and Cape Town (1)
Ref: LO/006
Reporting directly to the respective Seda Branch Managers,
the incumbent will provide administrative liaison and
business advisory support in terms of the following: CIPC
Registrations; CIDB Registrations; PGWC Red Tape Local
Liaison; Client ?ltering and referral; Information; advice and
training (Pre-start-up).
Minimum Requirements: Relevant 3 year academic
quali?cation (NQF level 5); Post graduate quali?cation will be
an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the small enterprise
development sector; Good written and verbal
communication skills; Good interpersonal skills; Good
understanding of business and ?nancial principles; Drivers
License.
Critical Competencies: Accuracy; Written and verbal
communication skills; Attention to detail; Planning and
organising; Time Management; Performance Driven;
customer focused.
Key performance areas: Facilitate registration processes for
micro and small business with CIPC and CIDB; Coordinate
and facilitate basic small enterprise information sessions
and seminars to potential; micro and small enterprises;
Provide ad-hoc administrative and data capturing support
services; Provide relevant business information and referral
services to potential, micro and small enterprises.
