Score top in GMAT!!!

In the world of education, there are planets of Subjects…

Confused??

Yes my friends, in this world of education, we have a numerous and numerous subjects and so I felt the word planet of Subjects would do fit for the definition. ;)

So, in this education era, we have few courses that always stayed on top irrespective of what the situation is…
One of such areas is MBA.
To get into this, as we usually have entrance exams for any type of the exams, we have a beautiful but cut throat competition combiner, GMAT!!

GMAT is Graduate management Admission Test which invites a management career aspirant to take up the test and show his mettle.
There is no hard and fast rule on the test centre too; it can be availed throughout the country.
Provided that the exam is widely accepted for admissions at more than 5,800 programs and 2,000 schools globally, making it the most widely used assessment for business and management programs around the world. In India, the GMAT exam is accepted for admissions at more than 150 plus programs offered at 80 business schools.

So, feeling interested to take up the exam and make up a winning career right?
But I have to say something about it, planning is completely different from enrolling or registering for the exam because there is no guarantee that every one who takes up this test would get into it on an easy move so it should be strategically while you are to hit a big fish..

Let’s have a look on what is to be asked and how well should be your preparation if you really intend to be on the top list.
A GMAT exam would test you in four specific areas.
1. An analytical writing assessment.
2. Integrated reasoning,
3. The quantitative section,
4. The verbal section.

The total Time: 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Your Score shall be assessed with the following criteria.

• The number of questions you answer.
• Whether you answer the questions correctly or incorrectly.
• The level of difficulty and other statistical characteristics of each question.
• The questions in an adaptive test are weighted according to their difficulty and other statistical properties, not according to their position in the test.
Few logical inclusions on how your score is said high:
If you score 740, then it would be above-average for every business school in the world. For the other “top ten” schools, the average GMAT scores are between 710 and 720. If you score above 710, your score is in the territory of the elite schools, and if you score anywhere above 750, your GMAT score is stratospherically high.

Simple but strict rules you need to follow if you wish your name on the top!!!

1. Start your preparation well in advance. Toppers often say they start their preparation not too much earlier but a minimum of 3 months earlier to the exam date.
2. Reserve your weekends for taking mock tests and at the same time don’t stress your mind with a couple, just take 2 or 3. You should take an enough relaxation.
3. I prefer you to book the test slot and then start your preparation so that it keeps your mind ready for the exam and keep you away from the young diversions. Hope you got my point.
4. Be confident, the most important thing you could have for free.

One most important thing one should keep in mind is,

Have a target and work for it but do not waste your time if you are not serious.

That is great advice! Another important part would be to make a realistic plan and make sure that you stick to it. Make sure you take your work schedule into account and set realistic goals for yourself for studying each day. Like Pardhu said, it is probably good to book your test date to keep you motivated and make sure that you keep up with your study schedule.
