San Marino Scored Their First Goal in 14 Years and Players Went Crazy

Everything happens for the first time in life and the experience you get is just unimaginable. When you have achieved the task which looks like next to impossible, you really feel blessed and on the top of the world. Similarly, San Marino, a team which was dried with its luck has finally made it. San Marino, a small nation located in northern Italy, with a meagre population of 30,000.
Their population is too diminutive and so as the talent pool in San Marino is too small. There is a paucity of players who play football and the team has the bad record of not scoring a single goal away from home for 14 years. Earlier, they even lost to England last weekend. "La Serenissima" hadn't scored away from home in competitive football in 14 years - since Nicola Albani's goal against Latvia in 2001. But, they have decided to change the direction of a wind and finally, they have created history by scoring one single goal against Lithuania (population 2.95million) on Tuesday night.
The 55th minute of the game will be remembered forever and the smashing goal of ‘La Serenissima’. After scoring their first goal, players went crazy on the field and they celebrated the goal as they have won the biggest title of the football. Even the team-mates, substitutes and coaching staff joined in the victory and the crowd was just seems like lost and incredulous. San Marino went on to lose the match 2-1 after Lukas Spalvis' hit the ball with thunder speed directly hitting the net. But, they have won the hearts.
