Samsung Galaxy Tab S: Specifications and Details[/b]
Samsung will reportedly expand its tablet lineup even more with the Galaxy Tab S.
According to Sam Mobile, the tablets will debut as the first-ever devices to feature a WQXGA (2,560 by 1,600) AMOLED display, packed into an 8.4-inch or 10.5-inch slate. Samsung first introduced its Super AMOLED Plus screen in the 2012 Galaxy Tab 7.7, but, as SamMobile pointed out, it has not utilized the relatively young technology in another tablet. It has, however, been integrated into other Samsung offerings, like the Galaxy S5 smartphone, which leverages the AMOLED display's ability to turn on individual pixels to save power.
The Tab S lineup will also be first tablet with a fingerprint sensor the same technology found in the flagship GS5's home button, Sam Mobile said. Much like the handset, Samsung's new tablets will reportedly feature fingerprint unlock and PayPal payments, as well as private folder and Samsung Apps login. But the manufacturer may add a new twist: multi user login, which enhances Android's multiple-user functionality to allow friends or family members to log onto your tablet by swiping a finger across the home button.

. 8-megapixel rear cameras with full HD 1080p video recording, and 2.1-megapixel front facing camera.
. The tablets will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, which might be wrapped under Samsung’s new NotePro Magazine UI.
. The Galaxy Tab S in two colors, shimmer white and titanium grey and Samsung will also introduce flip covers for these tablets.
Fingerprint scanners are all the rage these days. As our mobile devices hold more and more personal data, it’s important to offer convenient, low-level security features to help keep them locked tight. According to the folks at Sammobile, Samsung is prepping a new tablet line dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Tab S launching later this year in both 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch varieties. We know, it was only a few weeks ago Samsung announced the wallet-friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 in 7, 8, and 10-inch flavors. But Samsung is planning something special for this rumored Galaxy Tab S, said to feature a stunning 2560×1600 resolution AMOLED display as its piece de resistance a first of its kind.
News of the Tab S tablet family comes just days after Samsung started selling its new Galaxy Tab4 slate (pictured), which comes in 10.1-inch ($349.99), 8-inch ($269.99), and 7-inch ($199.99) screen sizes, available via all four major U.S. mobile carriers. The Tab S will reported take some design cues from the Tab4, though Sam Mobile tipped slimmer edges for a better in-hand experience, as well as flip covers that attach to connectors embedded in the back panel.
So far, the company has already launched 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablet variants of the Galaxy Tab 4, and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2-inch and Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2-inch tablets.
