Rural Area:-
“Rural Area means the area comprised in any village, and includes the area comprised in any town, the population of which does not exceed twenty thousand or such other figure as the Central Government may specify from time to time.”
Per Capita Investment:-
Should not exceed Rs 50000 per artisan i.e. capital expenditure. On building/work shed, machinery and furniture divided by full time employment created by the project should be Rs 50000 or less.
Age limit:-
Any adult beneficiary above 18 yrs is eligible for financing under the REGP.
Registration:-
Registration with the KVIC under the scheme is mandatory. Beneficiary has to register either with KVIC or KVIB.
For registration with KVIB they will have to apply on the prescribed form duly recommended by the concerned financing bank. The registration is valid for three financial years.
For further renewal, registration fee@ 5% of the project cost to be paid to the KVIC.
KVIC will conduct periodical inspection of the units through its officials.
