Retail Consultant Pamela Joy Ring Receives NAWBO Women of Distinction Award
for Retail & Business Services
LAS VEGAS (March 15, 2011) – Pamela Joy Ring, president, Ring Retail Advisory, LLC is the
recipient of the 2011 Women of Distinction Award: Retail & Business Services, presented by the
National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Southern Nevada Chapter.
Ring was selected by the organization to honor her accomplishments as a community business
leader, specialist in the retail industry and to recognize her contributions toward building a
legacy for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Ring knows from experience the
importance of paving the way for
future generations, herself, a legacy
of entrepreneurship. Ring’s mother,
Rhoda Ring, who was present at the
awards presentation, and whom she
recognized in her acceptance
speech, was instrumental in the
founding of “Seventeen Magazine” in
1945 at the age of 22.
“I am my mother’s daughter and the
entrepreneurial spirit is in my DNA,”
said Ring - an attribute that serves
her well. In 2007 she founded the
retail consultancy firm, Ring Retail
Advisory, using as the cornerstone,
the delivery of real and practicable
solutions that are respectful of a
client’s resources and can be profitably implemented and sustained. Today, she continues to
bring her experience as a retailer and retail consultant in all retail channels and segments to
businesses engaged in multi-channel retail and consumer goods & services.
Ring Retail Advisory isn’t the first time that Ring has used her retail specialty, inherent
entrepreneurial drive and ingenuity to guide a company in building new markets and capturing
customers. As co-founder and former Executive Vice President and Acting COO of Gallery of
History, Inc., she is credited with creating an industry. Ring took a niche collectible limited to 300
collectors, merchandised and re-positioned it, to be a demand-based product for the masses
generating $49 million collective sales of 32,000 items.

“I am honored to be recognized by NAWBO,” said Ring. “And, to have been inspired by my
mother and to share this award with her means the world to me.”
