Headquarters: San Francisco, CA
URL: Leopard.FYI: Professional Network for Women, NB folks & Allies in Tech

Location: US Time Zone | Full Time Position | $100K–$170K OTE

Leopard.FYI is a community-first recruiting company and professional network for women and non-binary software engineers (and allies). We connect our 2,500+ members with inclusive startups and tech companies, helping engineers grow their careers while supporting employers with senior hires.

Founded in 2021, we have been profitable since early on, making hundreds of hires and hosting events in SF, NYC, Boston, LA & more. We’re a team of 20 across New York, San Francisco, Arizona, France/Brazil, and the Philippines.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work directly with Leopard clients (Founders, CTOs, Engineering Managers, or Recruiters) via Zoom and Slack to help them hire engineers from the Leopard community. Here’s a snapshot of how you’ll spend your time in this role:

First 90 Days :

  • Support Leopard active clients: Build strong working relationships with founders, hiring managers, & recruiters who partner with Leopard to fill open engineering roles.

  • Keep Airtable Up to Date: Work with the ops and marketplace teams to keep open roles, preferences, client bios, and interview funnels accurate and up to date.

  • Provide recruiting support: Help clarify role requirements, confirm must-have skills and priorities, and manage pipelines from first introduction through final stages.

  • Run regular check-ins: Use Zoom, phone, email, and Slack to share candidate updates, gather feedback, surface blockers, and keep clients engaged.

Over Time :

  • Advise on employer branding and closing strategies: Guide clients on how to position their company and roles in ways that resonate with members of the Leopard community. Share best practices for making offers & closing top candidates.

  • Track client funnel performance, flag drop-offs, and suggest improvements: Monitor hiring funnels for each client, identify where progress slows, and recommend interventions such as sourcing campaigns, events, or process adjustments.

  • Share insights from the community with clients: Translate feedback, trends, and conversations from the Leopard network into actionable recommendations. Help clients understand what candidates are looking for in roles, teams, and workplaces.

  • Work with Leopard’s Head of Ops to streamline workflows: Help build automations, standardize data flows, and replace one-off tasks using Airtable, Zapier, and other low-code/no-code systems.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably supporting hiring software engineers at tech startups. Could be agency experience, in-house, or a combo.

  • You are comfortable managing large pipelines in a fast-paced setting

  • You enjoy building and improving recruiting systems and processes.

  • You show strong judgment and attention to detail on writing & client-facing work

  • You are excited to take on new challenges and problem-solve with others

  • You reliably ship solutions without extensive oversight and reminders

  • You approach change & ambiguity with optimism & a growth mindset

  • You are passionate about Leopard’s mission to build community and inclusion in tech

Compensation:

$100K–$170K OTE, depending on seniority and experience. Our model combines a base salary with commission tied to successful client hires. Because Leopard works on a contingency basis with clients, commissions are paid when placements are made and the client payment is received. We offer flexibility in structure: you can choose a higher base with lower commission or a lower base with higher commission, depending on what works best for you. Benefits include Unlimited PTO, Health plan and 401k with matching.

Interview Process:

  1. Introductory Call with Lexi (Founder/CEO): We’ll share an overview of Leopard, the business, and the role. We’ll also get to know your background and hear why this opportunity aligns with your goals and motivations.
  2. Take-Home Assessment: A short written exercise that’s similar to our day-to-day async communication with clients & candidates. We’ll look for clear communication, prioritization, and a thoughtful approach to client success. You can use AI tools, but answers that feel too AI-generated are typically rejected.
  3. Role Fit Call with Jordan (Founder/COO): Jordan will follow up on your take-home responses, go deeper into role expectations, and cover compensation.
  4. Topgrading Interview with Jessica & Lexi: This call is a 1-hour deep dive into your past roles. We’ll explore what you actually did, the highs and lows, and how you approached key responsibilities and decisions.
  5. Systems & Process Deep Dive with Carolina (Head of Ops): A walkthrough of Leopard’s internal tools (Airtable, Slack, Zapier). You’ll use this session to get familiar with the systems and prepare for the final step.
  6. Final Conversation with Jordan & Lexi: This final 1-hour conversation will revisit the core responsibilities of the role, explore how you approach supporting clients and identifying strong candidate fits, and give you space to ask any final questions about Leopard’s culture, growth plans, and team dynamics.
