There are various reasons given by the inactive advisor regarding inactivity but there are some common reasons which make them inactive these are

5.1 Lack of communication-

An agent has to meet new people daily, he has to interact with them, listen them and also convince them for the need of insurance to do all these he must has a good communication skill.14% of the inactive agents said that they can’t communicate with people that is why they become inactive.

5.2 Lack of Data –

Most of the agents become inactive after exhausting their natural market, that is friends and relatives. In such case they need data of those people who are in need of insurance .27%Inactive agents said they are unable to sell policy because they are lacking data they said if they get data they can easily convince them and can sell them policy.


5.2Lack of Knowledge of the Product-

To sell an insurance product an agent must has the proper knowledge of the product because insurance is an intangible financial product and client is going to get benefit in future so he wants all the minute details of the product.27% of the agent accepted that lack of knowledge is the reason of their inactivity and in this somewhere training department is also responsible.

5.3 Other Reasons-
• 32% of the inactive agents have given their different reason of inactivity. Some important reasons among them are

• New advisor are told to sell only few specified product in the initial stage. Because they are unable to sell the product according to clients need and they become inactive.

• Less interaction of the BA and managers with those agents who are facing problem in selling the policy. Whole attention is given to those agents and BAs who are performing better.

• Too much documentation is required in submitting a policy a submission of policy takes 2 to 3 days, too much rigid regarding rules and regulation. Because of this clients become irritated and don’t take the policy.

• Clients are unaware about the company and its product because of less advertisement.
