Hello friends,
We all know that Supreme Court has banned the ragging. All the educational institutes are taking strict actions against it. But still we hear about some cases of students being ragged by their seniors.

Do you think that these strict laws have really stopped ragging or it still exists?

well nothing in this huge country be stopped at once , it takes time and yes Educational societies are taking strict actions if any student was found ragging their juniors.... however a understanding should be there in the juniors mind that its just for fun and think twice before they take any suicidal action.

however ragging still exists in some institutions .

My take is a bit different on this. I support ragging provided it does not lead to any humiliation or abuse. During the time I was in college - early nineties - it was quite enjoyable and a great way to bond - with your seniors, your future classmates and your juniors.

I think if ragging done in proper way it is the best way to get 2 knw & interact with ur seniors & juniors.

Now that I am hearing for the first time. What would you say is a proper way of ragging ;) ?
Few cases make raggin seem horrible. And seeing the effects of these few cases is enough to do away with it. There can be many other ways to interact!!
I was ragged, and i dint mind it. But there are few who dont.

Ragging exists in every walk of life not just in colleges. But in colleges it becomes serious because the raggers and freashers are not mature enough to handle it. They dont know when and where to stop.

[Yes, I do agree it still exists in most of the colleges. This can be stopped if the seniors who were juniors who were disturbed should not be frustrated and pass it on to their juniors. They should understand and help their juniors.

a friendly ragging should always be supported as it only acts as a channel of communication between the seniors and juniors
