Radioactive leak has been detected in the cargo area of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Friday. A National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was rushed to the scene and carried on with their investigation. The NDRF Director General stated that the radioactive substance named sodium iodide class 7 was the consignment which was boarded by a Turkish carrier. The substance was leaked in very small portion and now it had been isolated so there is no need to get panic, said Officials. Fortis hospital uses this substance on a regular basis, Fortis hospitals top officials has also being called to get the clear picture about leak.

NDRF had exceptionally managed the situation and no harm has been taken place. Home Minister Rajnath Singh was quoted saying the situation is now under control. Investigation is in progress and NDRF is trying to find out more about how can these leaking of substance can be stop

All above now the situation is in under control but, this situation have to be taken serious and bring out some preventive measures so that, any substance should not leak in future and harm anyone.
