Put On or Put OfF

Some people move from one step to the other while doing a assignment or a project. They are against chaos and build a dwelling one brick at a time. Others may get brilliant results by putting themselves under duress at the last minute. They are adrenaline junkies. If someone expects order out of them ; they are bound to be disappointed. Instead these individuals if asked to dig a pool ; will dig at 10 random places and end up joining the dots to render the task complete.

The outcome may seem mostly the same to a layman. In such cases what is important is to realise what category you come under and clear the fog inside your mind.

If you are akin to Procrastinate:

Rejoice there are few things about you the orderly envy. The intensity , concentration and devil’s luck. I needn’t divulge into the disadvantages as they are well addressed in various texts and you may already have experienced some by now.

You may as well :

1. Put it on your wall that you will always be hard-pressed for time. You have to come to terms with people going back on their word at the last minute and you would be left with a empty pitcher in a desert.

2. Do 1 or 2 things ahead of the “Judgment day”(Imagine Arnold Weighing in with all his muscles ) : picking the easiest stuff and getting them out of the way won’t hurt you much.

3. Keep an organized work related shelf , so that you wouldn’t waste time emptying your trunks hours before the deadline.

If you are a Perfectionist:

You may rejoice as well. You have time on your side. You won’t need the rare “Sands of time” (Prince of persia) to go back and forth. But you won’t get to know the princess twice either.

Jokes apart , some snippets this category (not that you need mine , I hail from the previous category):

1. Don’t act like the girls on a zombie Movie : You have done your bit and there is no need to get Goosebumps before the lights come down on you.

2. Don’t build a plan too early , it leaves no space for something good that may eventually cross your mind.

3. Knowing when to quit is also an important part. If you grow too tense , the next step will be disasterous.
