The Push Strategy


It means a promotional strategy that calls for using the sales force and trade promotion to push the product through channels. The producer promotes the product to wholesaler, the wholesalers promote to retailers, and the retailers promote to consumers.


In this strategy we will push our wholesalers and retailers to sell our product to our potential consumers and in turn they will receive rewards in form of recognition and monetary gains, if they are able to complete the given target.


The retailers who shall make sales of 50 “Quench-It” boxes that shall include 50 blister packs in a month shall get a 10% discount on their next order. This shall boost the sales of “Quench-It” since these vendors would recommend “Quench-It” to those who ask for cigarettes.


This would be natural since they would know that they shall get discounts on their next orders if they push the product. The cigarette industry shall not be able to adopt counter strategies since they shall not be able to promote cigarettes over a chewing gum that is completely herbal and has no side-effects.
