The Karnataka Board of Secondary Education (KSEEB) has declared the results for the second Pre University Certificate (PUC) examination which were held between March 12 and March 27.

In order to check the results, the candidates are required to log in to the official website of the Board and insert their roll number. After clicking on the submit option, the candidates will be able to have access to their result.

More than 6 lakh students had appeared for the second PUC examination this year. The students from Arts stream were 2, 41, 539 in total, the ones from Commerce stream were 2, 05, 502 in total and those who opted for Science stream were 1, 73, 829 in total. The students who manage to clear the exam will be eligible to join higher degree education. However, a supplementary exam will be conducted for the candidates who fail in the examination in June.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board was established in the year 1966. The board is responsible for regulating and supervising the system of Secondary education in the state of Karnataka.

The board executes and governs various academic activities such as: devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting recognitions to schools and, providing direction, support and leadership for all secondary educational institutions under its jurisdiction.

The Karnataka Board of Secondary Education (KSEEB) had conducted PUC Exam 2014 / 2nd (II) PUC Board Exam 2014 in the month of March 2014. In 2014, around 6 lakh students appeared in PUC Exam / 2nd PUC board exams out of which the number of students that appeared for Commerce stream is near about 2 lakh and around 2.5 lakh for Arts stream and near about 1.7 lakh in Science stream. Most of the pre-University colleges in Karnataka are affiliated to the PUC Board and not to CBSE or any other Central board of education.
