Introduction of Carbon Steel
Carbon steel, also called plain carbon steel, is steel where the main alloying constituent is carbon. The AISI defines carbon steel as: "Steel is considered to be carbon steel when no minimum content is specified or required for chromium, cobalt, columbium [niobium], molybdenum, nickel, titanium, tungsten, vanadium or zirconium, or any other element to be added to obtain a desired alloying effect; when the specified minimum for copper does not exceed 0.40 per cent; or when the maximum content specified for any of the following elements does not exceed the percentages noted: manganese 1.65, silicon 0.60, copper 0.60. The term "carbon steel" may also be used in reference to steel which is not stainless steel; in this use carbon steel may include alloy steels. Steel with low carbon content has properties similar to iron. As the carbon content rises, the metal becomes harder and stronger but less ductile and more difficult to weld. In general, higher carbon content lowers the melting point and its temperature resistance. Carbon content influences the yield strength of steel because carbon atoms fit into the interstitial crystal lattice sites of the body-centered cubic (BCC) arrangement of the iron atoms. The interstitial carbon reduces the mobility of dislocations, which in turn has a hardening effect on the iron. To get dislocations to move, a high enough stress level must be applied in order for the dislocations to "break away". This is because the interstitial carbon atoms cause some of the iron BCC lattice cells to distort.

1. Metal Plate: Having a good Raw Material will decide over allQuality of the product & it will have efficient response from the raw material. Ratnamani are purchasing mainly from there trustily suppliers among them are Essar Steel, Sail, Ispat.
2.Inspection & Testing for Raw Material: The Raw Material is being checking at that department. The Raw material purchased from supplier that need to pass out through various testing the test require for checking the Capacity, Grade & their tolerance limit. They are decided that damage point of the sample from lot.
3. Pug Cutting: -
After verified Raw Material from the Test then that material is ready for making product that is sheet is ready for making Pipe.The material is getting the treatment form these stages the two sides of the sheets clearly make sharp & little triangle shape. This process is perform because when the Two sides of the sheets will mould at that time the sheet will easily weld.
4. Beveling: Beveling treatment is provided for smoother shape for cutting the two sides of the sheets and makes a finish either through manual or by machines. The process make before beveling will have some defect or not enough clearly sheets are ready for next process so for that the beveling provided to the sheets & make a rough sheets to sheets require for the next level.
5. Cremping: After smooth surface of sheet that after sheet move to the next procedure, that procedure is called Cremping. In that procedure the two sides of sheet are mould& move to the getter. The Two corner sides of are punch through heavy weight & make sheets ready for JCO.
4.Controls for Forming & Welding: After molding the two sides of the sheets they are ready for whole circle for that the Forming is playing a role in that machine the sheets is given a shape of like J C O type. RATNAMANI main & final pipe tolerance, following steps &precaution taken in the Forming & Welding in Pipes which are as follows: -

The coil is uniform trimmed width of the coil will strictly maintained by means EDGE MILLINGunit. Also quality of milling will maintained well with help of good quality circular blades.

5.Setup / Tag Welding: After completing the “O” Shape of sheets the joint is given at certain Place & certain distance. That are those joints or welding is provided through mig that is Metal Inner Gas that is contain to Co2 welding.
6. Internal Welding: Now the half pipe is made before that procedure after providing the MIG welding on Pipe the pipe is ready for Internal Welding. The Internal Welding is providing through machine with the help of copper wire &
Fluxes. As the weld is being made immediately after that Flux is spread on the weld, so that the weld will become strong.
7. Batch Chipping: At this stage Pipe has internal welded & pipe would not be enough strong for performance so that at the stage of set up or tag welding the joint or weld provided on the surface of Pipe at certain distance as been removed that means Co2 is removing at this stage.
8. External Welding: The Process has been done in the internal welding that’s same process has been follow in External welding. The difference is in Internal welding the weld is provide on inner sides of Pipe and in the External welding the weld is provide on outer sides of Pipes. The same wire & Fluxes are been use in that procedure.
9. Gauging: The Pipe is almost ready at this stage. The Pipe is strong enough after internal & external welding at this stage the pipe is being straight through gauging machine. The pipe is put inside the machine & round shape is provided on that. The Pipe is made “Straightness for Strength ness“.
10. Visual Inspection: RATNAMANI is divided this inspection in 3 ways which are as follows:? The Pipe is visually examined full length from outside; pipe shall be rotated for inspecting the full pipe. ? Imperfection are marked with chalk & evaluated. Defective portion of the Pipe is cut off or the pipe is down graded& not supplied to the order. If the pipe end is cut off, the pipe returns fro normal processing, beginning & beveling.

Ultrasonic thickness gauges is used for verification of wall thickness at Pipe body & ground area.

12. Repair Welding:? For any defect on the welding seam shall be repaired as per approved WPS. The repair shall be carried out as per API 5L. ? Defective Part or Repaired Area shall be clearly marked.

Defective pipe shall be repaired by welding or grinding. All repairs requisitions shall be approved prior to execute by Purchase representative.
13. Marking / Weighing: In Ratnamani when Pipe manufacturing Process is complete the company make a marking in each pipe shall be marked from inside at end by white paint stenciling. The Steneiling shall be done at right angle to Pipe axis at least 200 MM from the Pipe ends by using spray gun. MOBILE PLANT:-
Water is an essential commodity which is scarce. Hence, there is a need for it to be transported efficiently to all the areas. The best mode of supplying water would be through pipelines. But to supply water of such volume, pipes in excess of 2 Meters in Outside Diameter are required. Projects of such magnitude are not economically viable if pipes are to be transported over long distances. Hence the need for a Mobile plant. Ratnamaniventured into manufacturing pipes at the site by way of mobile plant. The mobile plant caters to customer requirement on location. These plants can be dismantled and re-erected within a short span. This unique feature helps ineasy handling of pipes at site, meeting delivery schedules and cut down transportation cost thus making the project economical and viable. At site the mobile plant can produce pipes having diameter in excess of 36” NB up to 147” NB in various thicknesses, in single random length or double random length depending upon the project requirements.

We are not discussing abut only industrial era but also in any field u can find THE MAINTENANCE DEPT. For e.g.If u have purchase a bicycle & use it but if u don’t maintain it properly that will not give a long life use & also that bicycle will be considered as a scrap soon so in that manner the maintenance is again playing crucial role. Pipes. The maintenance dept is providing the service to smooth running of machinery and also looking after the breakdown.

Mechanical Department: This Department is mainly dealing with machinery use for Production the employee working in the mechanical department provide supervision and care about the machine’s capacity and the working condition at different types of pipes and sheet. This department is existing because the machine can not secure them for accruing the breakdown. For that reason one mechanical team is allotted for that Job. They need to check out the various machines in decided time. That period of checking has been decide from the Top Mgnt as Yearly Planning and that dept divided that yearly planning into Monthly Planning according to that the Engineers checkout the whole machines their capacity, weakness, & their tolerance limit.
Objective: 1. Checking machinery at regular interval. 2. Making Proposal to Top Mgt for reduce space, time and cost of Machine.
Electrical Department: In any industrial organization to run the machine with minimum breakdown so production will increase to attain the timely breakdown carry out preventive maintenance up gradation of old design machinery with new design machinery or modification . In electrical department they are mainly performance with the supply of whole electrical the is the power of running machine smoothly with out electrical supply the machine will not run, not only supply the power but also check out the breakdown of electrical devices. For e.g. Industry get power supply from GEB they are provided 11000 volts of Electricity but in Industry the machine will not require e that much of Power so, to convert the 11000 volts to 440 volts they puts the converter. Material stores as building where goods are kept. Stores and Storage is the function of receiving, storing and issuing materials. It involves the supervision clearance of incoming supplies, to ensure that they are maintained in good condition, safely and in readiness for use when required, while they are storage and issuing them against authorized requisition. In short, it is connected are also physical handling and well- being of the stocks.

Introduction of Carbon Steel
Carbon steel, also called plain carbon steel, is steel where the main alloying constituent is carbon. The AISI defines carbon steel as: "Steel is considered to be carbon steel when no minimum content is specified or required for chromium, cobalt, columbium [niobium], molybdenum, nickel, titanium, tungsten, vanadium or zirconium, or any other element to be added to obtain a desired alloying effect; when the specified minimum for copper does not exceed 0.40 per cent; or when the maximum content specified for any of the following elements does not exceed the percentages noted: manganese 1.65, silicon 0.60, copper 0.60. The term "carbon steel" may also be used in reference to steel which is not stainless steel; in this use carbon steel may include alloy steels. Steel with low carbon content has properties similar to iron. As the carbon content rises, the metal becomes harder and stronger but less ductile and more difficult to weld. In general, higher carbon content lowers the melting point and its temperature resistance. Carbon content influences the yield strength of steel because carbon atoms fit into the interstitial crystal lattice sites of the body-centered cubic (BCC) arrangement of the iron atoms. The interstitial carbon reduces the mobility of dislocations, which in turn has a hardening effect on the iron. To get dislocations to move, a high enough stress level must be applied in order for the dislocations to "break away". This is because the interstitial carbon atoms cause some of the iron BCC lattice cells to distort.

1. Metal Plate: Having a good Raw Material will decide over allQuality of the product & it will have efficient response from the raw material. Ratnamani are purchasing mainly from there trustily suppliers among them are Essar Steel, Sail, Ispat.
2.Inspection & Testing for Raw Material: The Raw Material is being checking at that department. The Raw material purchased from supplier that need to pass out through various testing the test require for checking the Capacity, Grade & their tolerance limit. They are decided that damage point of the sample from lot.
3. Pug Cutting: -
After verified Raw Material from the Test then that material is ready for making product that is sheet is ready for making Pipe.The material is getting the treatment form these stages the two sides of the sheets clearly make sharp & little triangle shape. This process is perform because when the Two sides of the sheets will mould at that time the sheet will easily weld.
4. Beveling: Beveling treatment is provided for smoother shape for cutting the two sides of the sheets and makes a finish either through manual or by machines. The process make before beveling will have some defect or not enough clearly sheets are ready for next process so for that the beveling provided to the sheets & make a rough sheets to sheets require for the next level.
5. Cremping: After smooth surface of sheet that after sheet move to the next procedure, that procedure is called Cremping. In that procedure the two sides of sheet are mould& move to the getter. The Two corner sides of are punch through heavy weight & make sheets ready for JCO.
4.Controls for Forming & Welding: After molding the two sides of the sheets they are ready for whole circle for that the Forming is playing a role in that machine the sheets is given a shape of like J C O type. RATNAMANI main & final pipe tolerance, following steps &precaution taken in the Forming & Welding in Pipes which are as follows: -

The coil is uniform trimmed width of the coil will strictly maintained by means EDGE MILLINGunit. Also quality of milling will maintained well with help of good quality circular blades.

Only qualified operators are allowed to operate the mill.

The monitored frequently & continuously feed back regarding the same is available with operator.
5.Setup / Tag Welding: After completing the “O” Shape of sheets the joint is given at certain Place & certain distance. That are those joints or welding is provided through mig that is Metal Inner Gas that is contain to Co2 welding.
6. Internal Welding: Now the half pipe is made before that procedure after providing the MIG welding on Pipe the pipe is ready for Internal Welding. The Internal Welding is providing through machine with the help of copper wire &
Fluxes. As the weld is being made immediately after that Flux is spread on the weld, so that the weld will become strong.
7. Batch Chipping: At this stage Pipe has internal welded & pipe would not be enough strong for performance so that at the stage of set up or tag welding the joint or weld provided on the surface of Pipe at certain distance as been removed that means Co2 is removing at this stage.
8. External Welding: The Process has been done in the internal welding that’s same process has been follow in External welding. The difference is in Internal welding the weld is provide on inner sides of Pipe and in the External welding the weld is provide on outer sides of Pipes. The same wire & Fluxes are been use in that procedure.
9. Gauging: The Pipe is almost ready at this stage. The Pipe is strong enough after internal & external welding at this stage the pipe is being straight through gauging machine. The pipe is put inside the machine & round shape is provided on that. The Pipe is made “Straightness for Strength ness“.
10. Visual Inspection: RATNAMANI is divided this inspection in 3 ways which are as follows:? The Pipe is visually examined full length from outside; pipe shall be rotated for inspecting the full pipe. ? Imperfection are marked with chalk & evaluated. Defective portion of the Pipe is cut off or the pipe is down graded& not supplied to the order. If the pipe end is cut off, the pipe returns fro normal processing, beginning & beveling.

Ultrasonic thickness gauges is used for verification of wall thickness at Pipe body & ground area.

12. Repair Welding:? For any defect on the welding seam shall be repaired as per approved WPS. The repair shall be carried out as per API 5L. ? Defective Part or Repaired Area shall be clearly marked.

Defective pipe shall be repaired by welding or grinding. All repairs requisitions shall be approved prior to execute by Purchase representative.
13. Marking / Weighing: In Ratnamani when Pipe manufacturing Process is complete the company make a marking in each pipe shall be marked from inside at end by white paint stenciling. The Steneiling shall be done at right angle to Pipe axis at least 200 MM from the Pipe ends by using spray gun. MOBILE PLANT:-
Water is an essential commodity which is scarce. Hence, there is a need for it to be transported efficiently to all the areas. The best mode of supplying water would be through pipelines. But to supply water of such volume, pipes in excess of 2 Meters in Outside Diameter are required. Projects of such magnitude are not economically viable if pipes are to be transported over long distances. Hence the need for a Mobile plant. Ratnamaniventured into manufacturing pipes at the site by way of mobile plant. The mobile plant caters to customer requirement on location. These plants can be dismantled and re-erected within a short span. This unique feature helps ineasy handling of pipes at site, meeting delivery schedules and cut down transportation cost thus making the project economical and viable. At site the mobile plant can produce pipes having diameter in excess of 36” NB up to 147” NB in various thicknesses, in single random length or double random length depending upon the project requirements.
