project on attrition will only cover the empolyee turnover rate, but try to include the HRM part also. like how they were recruited ,the costs involved
hence youcan conclude with not in favor of attrition

calculate attrition rate?

To calculate attrition rate one measures the rate at which employees are leaving a company.

Attrition rate can be calculated by dividing the number of employees who have left the company by the total number of employees (before those employees have left). Employee attrition rate can be calculated on a monthly or yearly basis.

Attrition rates vary from one industry to another. High attrition rates present a cost issue to an organization as well as instability. Lower attrition rates are usually associated with high levels of employee satisfaction.

Well which sector are you focussing plays a pivotal role on hw you are going to go about the project? So do specify that.

E.g :
Sector Wise : BPO sector in India--- Very High Attrition Rate 35-45%
Company Wise : Infosys Technology ---- Very low Attrition Rate 7-12%

Choosing your sample parameter will help a much better focus on this project.

hi,,
atrrition rate calculation is little bit different than wht is mentioned here ... i will soon post the correct method of calculation..

you can also concentrate on reasons for atrition and also give the firm some suggestions to reduce the atrrition ... .. also concentrate on the consequences of atrrition anf finnaly the hidden aspects of attrition.. for e.g some amount of atrrition is actually healthy for organisation.. jack welch principle in restructuring genral motors was every year remove 20% of dead wood and recruit fresh blood... so this is the positive aspect.. and atrrition and availibily of jobs are related .. unless there is attrition there are on job availibilitie and when there are job availibilitie there is attrition ...
