AC Motors

Premium Efficient
Super-E Motors are designed to conserve energy over extended time periods. These premium efficiency designs are available in both Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled and Open Drip Proof construction. All three phase motors are Inverter Ready per NEMA Standard MG1, Part 31.4.4.2. This means the motors in 230 and 460 volts meet NEMA's corona inception voltage requirements, under this Standard, and can withstand peak voltages of up to 1600 volts. Motors having premium efficiency are also available in single phase designs.

Single Phase
In applications where only single phase power is utilized, these motors are available from 1/12 Hp through 15 Hp in TEFC and ODP designs. Standard foot mounted configurations are available, as well as C-Face foot mounted and C-Face footless. These are also offered in 1/4 Hp through 5 Hp as Super-E® Premium Efficient motors where energy savings is desired.

General Purpose
Baldor's extensive line of General Purpose motors are available in Open Drip-proof and TEFC construction in both single and three phase. Horsepower sizes available from stock range from 1/12 HP through 1500 HP. Designed for "general purpose" use means that these motors can be used in applications which include compressors, pumps, fans, conveyors, material handling, machine tools and many others.

Severe Duty
Severe Duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP. These products are especially designed for those applications requiring protection of the motors from severe environmental operating conditions. A few typical applications which might require these types of motors include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants.

Washdown
Baldor's Washdown Duty Motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs. Horsepowers range from 1/2 to 20. Designs include motors having an electostatically applied epoxy finish, paint free with major components in 300 series stainless steel, and all stainless steel. Applications include food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or applications where motors are regularly exposed to high pressure wash down.

Explosion Proof
Baldor's Explosion-proof motors are ideal for a wide variety of applications where hazardous fumes or dust may be present. The motors are available in three phase and single phase with ratings, in stock, from 1/4 HP through 300 HP. Designs available include standard foot mounted, C face with base and C face less base, 60 Hz and 50 Hz, Jet Pump motors, and Inverter Drive motors.

Pump
Our pump line of motors includes single or three phase jet pump motors, square flange motors, close-coupled pump motors, and P-Base vertical solid shaft pump motors. The motors are stocked in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, and many explosion proof ratings. Applications for these run the gamut from swimming pool pumps to medium and high thrust in-line pumps used in water treatment plants. Horse powers range in size from 1/3 through 75 HP.

Light Industrial / Commercial
Baldor's new Light Industrial / Commercial Motor line offers many ratings designed for applications with low to medium starting torque requirements. The Baldor Light Industrial / Commercial Motor line brings Baldor's reputation for high quality designs to commercial applications with a cost-effective offering. This definite purpose product line is designed for certain applications requiring NEMA 48 and 56 motors rated between 1/4 and 1 1/2 HP, in both single and three phase ratings. Typical applications include: Jet Pump, Heating and Cooling, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Blowers, Direct Drive Fans, Condenser Fans, and Pedestal Fans.

HVAC
Baldor's line of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Motors are designed with dynamically balanced rotors for reduced vibration and quiet operation. The motors range in size from 1/4 HP to 100 HP and include heavy duty industrial designs as well as designs for commercial applications. These applications include ventilators, direct drive and belted fans, exhaust fans, unit heaters, air conditioning units, and commercial refrigeration condensers. Also included are motors designed especially for use with variable torque electronic controls that are used to conserve electricity.

Farm Duty
These motors are designed for many of the varied applications found on the farm. Designs include motors suitable for aeration fans, auger drives, grain stirring, metering pumps, instant reversing, irrigation tower drives, and crop driers. General purpose motors are also available in both single and three phase, TEFC and ODP construction. For those loads that are hard to start and require extra torque, Baldor is the only motor manufacturer that stocks Repulsion-Start Induction Run motors, in sizes from 2 HP to 10 HP.

Definite Purpose
The Definite Purpose family of motors captures a host of variety demanded by the marketplace. These motors include TEFC and ODP Two-speed motors, as well as single phase Pressure Washer motors. This group of specialty motors includes Arbor Saw to Woodworking, Pre-1952 NEMA motors to SAE Hydraulic Pump motors. An extensive line of TEFC and ODP F-2 motors are available as well in 1 Hp through 60 Hp. The Automotive Approved motors, approved by major US automobile manufacturers, are available in cast iron designs and meet all requirements for sound power levels. A broad line of Design D Oil Field Pump motors, requiring high torque and high slip, are available in 3 Hp through 150 Hp.

Unit Handling
Baldor’s line of Unit handling motors are designed for a wide variety of applications in baggage handling, conveyors, packaging equipment, machine tools, hoists, elevators and door openers. These motors are available from stock in ratings of ½ HP thru 10HP (56 thru 215T frames) with or without Dodge D-Series brakes. Features include an oversized top mounted conduit box on 56 & 140T frames that provide easy access for making connections. Footed frames include slotted feet for easy mounting.

Brake
Baldor's line of brake motors are available in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, or explosion proof designs, in either single or three phase. Stock ratings are available from 1/4 HP through 30 HP. These motors use a mechanical spring set brake with a manual release. Brake motors may be used on machine tools, conveyors, door operators, speed reducers, hoists, or any application requiring quick stops and positive holds.

200 & 575 Volt
Some general purpose applications require a motor that runs on 200 volt power. These 200 volt motors are stocked from 1 Hp to 50 Hp in TEFC, and 1 Hp to 100 Hp in ODP. Also available is an extensive line of 575 volt motors. The 575 volt motors are available in general purpose TEFC and ODP, Washdown, Severe Duty, IEEE-841, Explosion Proof, and Close-Coupled pump designs, in a variety of mounting configurations.

IEC Frame
Baldor’s line of IEC frame motors are available from D63 through D315M, stocked in 50 Hz or 60 Hz. This means that replacement 60 Hz motors are readily available from Baldor to replace metric motors that have failed on imported machinery. Motor construction meets IP54 and includes motors with B3 base mounting, B5 flange mounting, or B14 face mounting. Stock motors range in size from .18 kW to 132 kW. Typical applications for this product include pumps, fans, conveyors, machine tools, gear reducers and any other jobs that require IEC frames.

50 Hertz
Some applications require NEMA motors which operate on true 50 Hz power. Where this 50 Hz power is all that is available, these NEMA motors are designed to be used at rated voltages with tolerance of ± 15% on voltage.

Inverter / Vector
Inverter/Vector motors are equipped with a superior insulation system designed to comply with NEMA MG-1 part 31 for inverter power. The motors available from stock range from 1/3 Hp to 1000 Hp. Designed for a variety of industrial applications where full torque is needed from base speed down to zero speed. Applications include conveyors, pumps, fans, metal processing, compressors, test stands, material handling, packaging equipment, printing presses, and others requiring exact speeds and positioning.

AC Controls

Baldor Drives now offers a complete solution to your motor control needs. From basic analog soft starts to full fledged Vector technology, Baldor offers high performance products in an easy to use interface. Controls start at 1/100HP and continue up to 800HP. Custom controls can be built up to 1500HP. Each control is designed and manufactured to be the most reliable you can buy.

VS1ST Microdrive
Designed to replace fixed speed motor starters, the Baldor VS1ST is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using only forty five parameters for quick startup. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control.

VS1STS 600V Microdrive
Designed for the 600V market, the Baldor VS1STS is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using a basic set of parameters. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control.

VS1MD Microdrive

VS1MX Microdrive
Considered the ultimate drive for harsh environments, the Baldor VS1MX microdrive completes our family of reliable AC microdrive products. This easy-to-use, low-power AC variable speed drive has a compact design and is available in switched or non-switched enclosures. The IP-55/NEMA 12 or IP66/NEMA 4X ratings make the drive ideal for use in wet, dry and harsh-duty conditions.

VS1MXS 600V Microdrive
Designed for the 600V market, the Baldor VS1MXS is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using a basic set of parameters. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control. Heavy duty rated with capability from 1 to 7.5HP (0.75 to 5kW) NEMA 12 (IP55), this stand alone drive is easy to install or replace.

VS1PF Pump and Fan Drive
The Baldor V*S Drives VS1PF is a feature rich AC drive targeted at the pump and fan markets but with functionality that rivals more sophisticated general purpose products. VS1PF Bypass Pump and Fan Drive
The VS1PF Bypass is a dedicated Pump/Fan Package with Hand/Off/Auto and Local/Remote Bypass features. Stock ratings up to 40HP 230V or 125HP 460V, this bypass package is powerful and cost competitive. Electronic Bypass can switch to Bypass Mode when a critical fault occurs in the drive allowing the motor to continue to operate.

H Vector

Using Flux Vector control techniques and closed loop motor feedback the Baldor Vector control makes automating industrial equipment easy with the built in motor auto-tuning feature. Baldor stocks ratings from 1 to 450 HP and has custom capabilities in larger horsepower sizes. All units are UL and CUL listed and come standard with ready to mount NEMA 1 enclosures and easy to use Operator Keypads. Expansion capabilities for various I/O and Bus Communications protocols are available with field installable expansion boards.

Vector Line Regen
High performance Line Regen Vector controls for AC Induction motors are available in a variety of ratings, input voltages, and enclosure styles. Using Flux Vector control techniques and closed loop motor feedback the Baldor Line Regen Vector control adds even more capability in slowing a motor and saving energy at the same time. No dynamic braking resistors are needed to bleed energy from the motor control. Near unity power factor and ability to meet IEEE-519 (1992) is easy with the built in sine wave input/output converter section. Baldor stocks ratings from 10 to 50 HP and has custom capabilities in larger horsepower sizes. All units are UL and CUL listed and come standard with ready to mount NEMA 1 enclosures and easy to use Operator Keypads.

Series 5 Micro Inverters
Baldor’s Series 5 inverter is a low cost and compact size inverter. However, don’t let the compact size fool you, the Series 5 mini-inverter is packed with the same protection features you would find in larger controls. Built-in current limit provides motor overload protection. High peak-current is available for up to 2 minutes and delivers up to 200% starting torque. The available peak currents will result in reduced nuisance tripping during overload conditions. Electronic inrush current limit and filtering is standard to reduce transient voltage spikes from dirty power sources.

Analog Soft-Start & Dynamic Brakes
Baldor’s full line of Soft Start motor controls for AC induction motors include products from simple Torque Control designs to the easy to program Digital controls. Units are available to reduce mechanical stress, prolong motor life and lower motor inrush currents in both single and three phase designs. Combination, Non-Combination and control only configurations in panel or NEMA 1, 3R, 12, or NEMA 4 enclosures are available from 1 through 800 HP. Many are available from stock or can be quick shipped in 72 hours or less. UL and CUL Listing along with CE Certification are standard on most designs.

Digital Soft-Start
Baldor’s Digital Soft-Start control combines the simplicity of a 6 SCR three phase voltage regulator with the most adaptable soft staring techniques available. Soft Starting reduces the wear on mechanical gears, chains, sprockets, belts and gearboxes. It also reduces water hammer in pumping applications. The reduced inrush current can prevent peak overload of the overall plant, thus preventing peak demand penalties charged by the local utility company.




DC Motors

General Purpose
These NEMA frame DC motors include permanent magnet designs through 5 HP and wound field designs through 500 HP designed for adjustable speed operation from SCR controls. Applications include conveyors, extruders, winders, printing presses and metering pumps. Most designs are constructed so a tachometer may be added for closed loop applications. Permanent magnet and wound field designs for 90 or 180 VDC have a 20:1 constant torque speed range.

Washdown
Permanent magnet DC motors are available with a choice for standard painted or paint-free finishes. PMDC motors may be used for adjustable speed applications such as conveyors or packing equipment. They may be paired with our BCWD140 Washdown DC SCR control.

Explosion Proof
Permanent Magnet DC Motors are available for 1/4 - 2 HP and wound field motors of 1/2 - 3 HP for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations with listing by both UL and CSA. Applications include conveyors and mixers in hazardous locations.

Metric Frames
Permanent Magnet DC Motors are available with a choice of IEC B5 flanges in .2 to 5 HP or B14 C-faces in .2 to 2 HP. All are designed for 180 volt input power with a 20:1 constant torque speed range. These metric frames are designed for replacement on equipment requiring an IEC interface with the gearbox.

Power Motors
Baldor Power Motors are designed for fixed-speed operation from a generator or battery power supply. These are 20% compound-wound motors. Applications include cranes, hoists, conveyors and augers where only DC power is available.

Integral Tachometer
Baldor has designed a Permanent Magnet DC Motor with an integral 50 VDC per 1000 RPM precision tachometer. Its compact design fits into many locations where a conventional motor won’t fit. Plus it is less costly than buying the motor, tach kit and tachometer. Applications include precision metering pumps and tensioning.

Lifting Magnet Generators
Baldor Lifting Magnet Generators provide power for lifting electro-magnets used in scrap and bulk metal handling facilities. Horizontal motors may be belted from the diesel engine or the motors with C-faces may be coupled to the PTO drive of the crane.

Baldor Generators now offers the most complete line of portable, standby, prime power and peak-shaving generators in the industry. From 3 – 2,000 kW in gasoline, LP, natural gas or diesel, there’s a Baldor generator for every power requirement. Each generator is designed and manufactured for maximum performance and reliability, making Baldor generators “the power solution” for industrial applications.


Industrial Portable Generators
Baldor industrial portable generators are suitable for applications where portable power is needed. Available from 3000 through 9,000 watts these generators are designed for continuous operations. Portable generators are available in several models: the fully featured Premier line; maximum valued Powerchief line; and diesel. Baldor portables provide a "Switchless Full Pow'R" feature, which eliminates the voltage selector 'power switch'. The Premier models also have an automatic idler feature, which reduces fuel consumption, and have a unique 'Focal Vibration System', which reduces vibration and eliminates 'floor walking'.

Industrial Towable Standby Generators
Baldor towable generators are designed and engineered for industrial, commercial and rental applications that require quiet operation, optimum performance and superior reliability. From the ultra quiet sound attenuated enclosures to the state-of-the-art electronics and controls, these units are engineered to meet the most rugged conditions. Place the unit at the job site, connect the load and start it up. Units can also be used with an automatic transfer switch for standby applications. Available from 25kVA/20kW to 500kVA/400kW these units have a three position voltage selection switch for 1 and 3 phase connections; large integral fuel tank; fuel water separators and many safety features including water temperature shutdown, and low oil shutdown. Field installed or Mod Express options are available including battery chargers, block heaters, and ball hitch couplings.

Mobile Light Towers
Baldor’s compact mobile light tower provides 4000 watts of light anywhere you need it: Construction, Emergency, Industrial, Mining, Civil Engineering and Event Lighting. With metal-halide lamps the Baldor POW’R LITE models will provide light coverage for over 7 acres. Each model is powered by a Baldor 6000 watt light tower generator, which is designed for a compact and efficient installation. POW’R LITE light towers are powered by the dependable Kubota diesel engine. A 50-gallon fuel tank provides for 100-hours of operation.

Automatic Emergency Standby Generators
The Automatic Emergency generators have been engineered and built to meet the emergency power needs of the residential and light commercial customer. Available in an 11 kW rating, this unit continuously monitor the electrical current in your home or office and start up automatically if the utility power is interrupted. And they shut themselves off when utility service is returned. Natural gas and LP powered units are available. Other features include: powder coat paint finish, weatherproof enclosure constructed of heavy gauge steel and has special sound attenuation.

Industrial Agricultural Standby Generators
Industrial diesel engine-driven generator systems for industrial single phase applications including agricultural confinement house operations, greenhouse facilities and dairy operations. Used also as power systems
for municipal plants. Available in sizes 30kW to 200kW with John Deere engines. Other features include full-status monitor, fuel connections for use with existing tanks or provisions for optional sub-base tank. Available options include weatherproof enclosures, circuit breakers, and starting battery/charger.

Gaseous Standby Generators
Baldor GLC generator sets provide totally automatic standby power for large residences and small businesses. Available from 10 to 128 kW they are fueled by LP or natural gas. Reliable industrial gaseous engines
give a long service life on the GLC units. The automatic voltage regulator provides precise voltage control, while the electronic isochronous governor assures precise frequency control. A digital controller features full instrumentation of engine and output power conditions. All GLC generators are prototype engineered, factory built and production tested. Field installed or Mod Express options are available including battery chargers, exhaust silencers, and enclosures. When used with the optional weatherproof or sound attenuated enclosure the unit provides a smooth and quiet operation.

Industrial Diesel Liquid Cooled Generators
Whether it's providing primary power for a transcontinental ship, a remote copper mine, or supplying vital standby power for a large metropolitan computer center, Baldor IDLC generators are at work all over the globe. For peak shaving duty, IDLC generators can supply prime power in parallel with the utility. In the standby mode, the IDLC gensets can supply emergency power to all critical loads and selected loads as desired.
Every IDLC power system is designed, engineered, built and tested to
the customer's specific specifications. Baldor's IDLC diesel generator sets include ratings from 30kW to 2000kW using John Deere, Mitsubishi, or Detroit diesel engines. Solid-state engine controls and switchgear systems are designed to meet your application requirements.

Industrial Gaseous Standby / Prime Power Generators
The Baldor IGLC generators are a custom product configured to customer’s specifications and offered from 30kW to 420kW in Natural Gas or LP. IGLC power generation systems are available in open configuration, weatherproof and fully sound attenuated enclosures. Every IGLC power system is designed, engineered, built and tested to the customer's specific specifications. Solid-state engine controls and switchgear systems are designed to meet application requirements.

Now you can buy a Baldor GLC (Gaseous Liquid Cooled) or a Baldor Towable genset and have several more choices and faster delivery. Grinders/Buffers

Grinders
Baldor’s industrial quality, single and three phase, bench and pedestal grinders are available having wheel diameters of from 6 to 14 inches. This well known line also includes diamond wheel and carbide tool grinders and abrasive belt grinders. Some designs of the abrasive belt grinders are supplied with a three position tiltable belt. All these grinder products are backed by a three-year warranty.

Buffers
Our industrial buffers range in size of 1/4 horsepower to a husky 7 1/2 horsepower. These buffers are designed for use with soft cloth wheels. Single-phase buffers are designed for 60 Hz operation, while all three-phase buffers are suitable for either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. All buffers are backed by Baldor's three-year warranty.

Polishing Lathes
Baldor’s polishing lathes have features preferred by dentists, dental lab technicians, jewelers, lapidary, and others requiring precise trouble free polishing. The tapered shafts accommodate chucks with standard dental taper. One side of Lathe #380WCT is equipped with the Wells “Super Quick” chuck. The ball bearings in all lathes are lubricated for life and sealed to prevent entry of dust and debris. All polishing lathes have a three-year warranty.

Standard foot mounted configurations are available, as well as C-Face foot mounted and C-Face footless. These are also offered in 1/4 Hp through 5 Hp as Super-E® Premium Efficient motors where energy savings is desired.

General Purpose
Baldor's extensive line of General Purpose motors are available in Open Drip-proof and TEFC construction in both single and three phase. Horsepower sizes available from stock range from 1/12 HP through 1500 HP. Designed for "general purpose" use means that these motors can be used in applications which include compressors, pumps, fans, conveyors, material handling, machine tools and many others.

Severe Duty
Severe Duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP. These products are especially designed for those applications requiring protection of the motors from severe environmental operating conditions. A few typical applications which might require these types of motors include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants.

Washdown
Baldor's Washdown Duty Motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs. Horsepowers range from 1/2 to 20. Designs include motors having an electostatically applied epoxy finish, paint free with major components in 300 series stainless steel, and all stainless steel. Applications include food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or applications where motors are regularly exposed to high pressure wash down.

Explosion Proof
Baldor's Explosion-proof motors are ideal for a wide variety of applications where hazardous fumes or dust may be present. The motors are available in three phase and single phase with ratings, in stock, from 1/4 HP through 300 HP. Designs available include standard foot mounted, C face with base and C face less base, 60 Hz and 50 Hz, Jet Pump motors, and Inverter Drive motors.

Pump
Our pump line of motors includes single or three phase jet pump motors, square flange motors, close-coupled pump motors, and P-Base vertical solid shaft pump motors. The motors are stocked in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, and many explosion proof ratings. Applications for these run the gamut from swimming pool pumps to medium and high thrust in-line pumps used in water treatment plants. Horse powers range in size from 1/3 through 75 HP.

Light Industrial / Commercial
Baldor's new Light Industrial / Commercial Motor line offers many ratings designed for applications with low to medium starting torque requirements. The Baldor Light Industrial / Commercial Motor line brings Baldor's reputation for high quality designs to commercial applications with a cost-effective offering. This definite purpose product line is designed for certain applications requiring NEMA 48 and 56 motors rated between 1/4 and 1 1/2 HP, in both single and three phase ratings. Typical applications include: Jet Pump, Heating and Cooling, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Blowers, Direct Drive Fans, Condenser Fans, and Pedestal Fans.

HVAC
Baldor's line of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Motors are designed with dynamically balanced rotors for reduced vibration and quiet operation. The motors range in size from 1/4 HP to 100 HP and include heavy duty industrial designs as well as designs for commercial applications. These applications include ventilators, direct drive and belted fans, exhaust fans, unit heaters, air conditioning units, and commercial refrigeration condensers. Also included are motors designed especially for use with variable torque electronic controls that are used to conserve electricity.

Farm Duty
These motors are designed for many of the varied applications found on the farm. Designs include motors suitable for aeration fans, auger drives, grain stirring, metering pumps, instant reversing, irrigation tower drives, and crop driers. General purpose motors are also available in both single and three phase, TEFC and ODP construction. For those loads that are hard to start and require extra torque, Baldor is the only motor manufacturer that stocks Repulsion-Start Induction Run motors, in sizes from 2 HP to 10 HP.

Definite Purpose
The Definite Purpose family of motors captures a host of variety demanded by the marketplace. These motors include TEFC and ODP Two-speed motors, as well as single phase Pressure Washer motors. This group of specialty motors includes Arbor Saw to Woodworking, Pre-1952 NEMA motors to SAE Hydraulic Pump motors. An extensive line of TEFC and ODP F-2 motors are available as well in 1 Hp through 60 Hp. The Automotive Approved motors, approved by major US automobile manufacturers, are available in cast iron designs and meet all requirements for sound power levels. A broad line of Design D Oil Field Pump motors, requiring high torque and high slip, are available in 3 Hp through 150 Hp.

Unit Handling
Baldor’s line of Unit handling motors are designed for a wide variety of applications in baggage handling, conveyors, packaging equipment, machine tools, hoists, elevators and door openers. These motors are available from stock in ratings of ½ HP thru 10HP (56 thru 215T frames) with or without Dodge D-Series brakes. Features include an oversized top mounted conduit box on 56 & 140T frames that provide easy access for making connections. Footed frames include slotted feet for easy mounting.

Brake
Baldor's line of brake motors are available in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, or explosion proof designs, in either single or three phase. Stock ratings are available from 1/4 HP through 30 HP. These motors use a mechanical spring set brake with a manual release. Brake motors may be used on machine tools, conveyors, door operators, speed reducers, hoists, or any application requiring quick stops and positive holds.

200 & 575 Volt
Some general purpose applications require a motor that runs on 200 volt power. These 200 volt motors are stocked from 1 Hp to 50 Hp in TEFC, and 1 Hp to 100 Hp in ODP. Also available is an extensive line of 575 volt motors. The 575 volt motors are available in general purpose TEFC and ODP, Washdown, Severe Duty, IEEE-841, Explosion Proof, and Close-Coupled pump designs, in a variety of mounting configurations.

IEC Frame
Baldor’s line of IEC frame motors are available from D63 through D315M, stocked in 50 Hz or 60 Hz. This means that replacement 60 Hz motors are readily available from Baldor to replace metric motors that have failed on imported machinery. Motor construction meets IP54 and includes motors with B3 base mounting, B5 flange mounting, or B14 face mounting. Stock motors range in size from .18 kW to 132 kW. Typical applications for this product include pumps, fans, conveyors, machine tools, gear reducers and any other jobs that require IEC frames.

50 Hertz
Some applications require NEMA motors which operate on true 50 Hz power. Where this 50 Hz power is all that is available, these NEMA motors are designed to be used at rated voltages with tolerance of ± 15% on voltage.

Inverter / Vector
Inverter/Vector motors are equipped with a superior insulation system designed to comply with NEMA MG-1 part 31 for inverter power. The motors available from stock range from 1/3 Hp to 1000 Hp. Designed for a variety of industrial applications where full torque is needed from base speed down to zero speed. Applications include conveyors, pumps, fans, metal processing, compressors, test stands, material handling, packaging equipment, printing presses, and others requiring exact speeds and positioning.

AC Controls

Baldor Drives now offers a complete solution to your motor control needs. From basic analog soft starts to full fledged Vector technology, Baldor offers high performance products in an easy to use interface. Controls start at 1/100HP and continue up to 800HP. Custom controls can be built up to 1500HP. Each control is designed and manufactured to be the most reliable you can buy.

VS1ST Microdrive
Designed to replace fixed speed motor starters, the Baldor VS1ST is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using only forty five parameters for quick startup. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control.

VS1MXS 600V Microdrive

Vector Line Regen
High performance Line Regen Vector controls for AC Induction motors are available in a variety of ratings, input voltages, and enclosure styles. Using Flux Vector control techniques and closed loop motor feedback the Baldor Line Regen Vector control adds even more capability in slowing a motor and saving energy at the same time. No dynamic braking resistors are needed to bleed energy from the motor control. Near unity power factor and ability to meet IEEE-519 (1992) is easy with the built in sine wave input/output converter section. Baldor stocks ratings from 10 to 50 HP and has custom capabilities in larger horsepower sizes. All units are UL and CUL listed and come standard with ready to mount NEMA 1 enclosures and easy to use Operator Keypads.

Series 5 Micro Inverters
Baldor’s Series 5 inverter is a low cost and compact size inverter. However, don’t let the compact size fool you, the Series 5 mini-inverter is packed with the same protection features you would find in larger controls. Built-in current limit provides motor overload protection. High peak-current is available for up to 2 minutes and delivers up to 200% starting torque. The available peak currents will result in reduced nuisance tripping during overload conditions. Electronic inrush current limit and filtering is standard to reduce transient voltage spikes from dirty power sources.

Analog Soft-Start & Dynamic Brakes
Baldor’s full line of Soft Start motor controls for AC induction motors include products from simple Torque Control designs to the easy to program Digital controls. Units are available to reduce mechanical stress, prolong motor life and lower motor inrush currents in both single and three phase designs. Combination, Non-Combination and control only configurations in panel or NEMA 1, 3R, 12, or NEMA 4 enclosures are available from 1 through 800 HP. Many are available from stock or can be quick shipped in 72 hours or less. UL and CUL Listing along with CE Certification are standard on most designs.

Digital Soft-Start
Baldor’s Digital Soft-Start control combines the simplicity of a 6 SCR three phase voltage regulator with the most adaptable soft staring techniques available. Soft Starting reduces the wear on mechanical gears, chains, sprockets, belts and gearboxes. It also reduces water hammer in pumping applications. The reduced inrush current can prevent peak overload of the overall plant, thus preventing peak demand penalties charged by the local utility company.

General Purpose
These NEMA frame DC motors include permanent magnet designs through 5 HP and wound field designs through 500 HP designed for adjustable speed operation from SCR controls. Applications include conveyors, extruders, winders, printing presses and metering pumps. Most designs are constructed so a tachometer may be added for closed loop applications. Permanent magnet and wound field designs for 90 or 180 VDC have a 20:1 constant torque speed range.

Washdown
Permanent magnet DC motors are available with a choice for standard painted or paint-free finishes. PMDC motors may be used for adjustable speed applications such as conveyors or packing equipment. They may be paired with our BCWD140 Washdown DC SCR control.

Explosion Proof
Permanent Magnet DC Motors are available for 1/4 - 2 HP and wound field motors of 1/2 - 3 HP for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations with listing by both UL and CSA. Applications include conveyors and mixers in hazardous locations.

Metric Frames
Permanent Magnet DC Motors are available with a choice of IEC B5 flanges in .2 to 5 HP or B14 C-faces in .2 to 2 HP. All are designed for 180 volt input power with a 20:1 constant torque speed range. These metric frames are designed for replacement on equipment requiring an IEC interface with the gearbox.

Power Motors
Baldor Power Motors are designed for fixed-speed operation from a generator or battery power supply. These are 20% compound-wound motors. Applications include cranes, hoists, conveyors and augers where only DC power is available.

Integral Tachometer
Baldor has designed a Permanent Magnet DC Motor with an integral 50 VDC per 1000 RPM precision tachometer. Its compact design fits into many locations where a conventional motor won’t fit. Plus it is less costly than buying the motor, tach kit and tachometer. Applications include precision metering pumps and tensioning.

Lifting Magnet Generators
Baldor Lifting Magnet Generators provide power for lifting electro-magnets used in scrap and bulk metal handling facilities. Horizontal motors may be belted from the diesel engine or the motors with C-faces may be coupled to the PTO drive of the crane.

Industrial Portable Generators
Baldor industrial portable generators are suitable for applications where portable power is needed. Available from 3000 through 9,000 watts these generators are designed for continuous operations. Portable generators are available in several models: the fully featured Premier line; maximum valued Powerchief line; and diesel. Baldor portables provide a "Switchless Full Pow'R" feature, which eliminates the voltage selector 'power switch'. The Premier models also have an automatic idler feature, which reduces fuel consumption, and have a unique 'Focal Vibration System', which reduces vibration and eliminates 'floor walking'.

Industrial Towable Standby Generators
Baldor towable generators are designed and engineered for industrial, commercial and rental applications that require quiet operation, optimum performance and superior reliability. From the ultra quiet sound attenuated enclosures to the state-of-the-art electronics and controls, these units are engineered to meet the most rugged conditions. Place the unit at the job site, connect the load and start it up. Units can also be used with an automatic transfer switch for standby applications. Available from 25kVA/20kW to 500kVA/400kW these units have a three position voltage selection switch for 1 and 3 phase connections; large integral fuel tank; fuel water separators and many safety features including water temperature shutdown, and low oil shutdown. Mobile Light Towers
Baldor’s compact mobile light tower provides 4000 watts of light anywhere you need it: Construction, Emergency, Industrial, Mining, Civil Engineering and Event Lighting. With metal-halide lamps the Baldor POW’R LITE models will provide light coverage for over 7 acres. Each model is powered by a Baldor 6000 watt light tower generator, which is designed for a compact and efficient installation. POW’R LITE light towers are powered by the dependable Kubota diesel engine. A 50-gallon fuel tank provides for 100-hours of operation.

Automatic Emergency Standby Generators
The Automatic Emergency generators have been engineered and built to meet the emergency power needs of the residential and light commercial customer. Available in an 11 kW rating, this unit continuously monitor the electrical current in your home or office and start up automatically if the utility power is interrupted. And they shut themselves off when utility service is returned. Natural gas and LP powered units are available. Industrial Agricultural Standby Generators
Industrial diesel engine-driven generator systems for industrial single phase applications including agricultural confinement house operations, greenhouse facilities and dairy operations. Used also as power systems

Other features include full-status monitor, fuel connections for use with existing tanks or provisions for optional sub-base tank. Gaseous Standby Generators
Baldor GLC generator sets provide totally automatic standby power for large residences and small businesses. Available from 10 to 128 kW they are fueled by LP or natural gas. Reliable industrial gaseous engines
give a long service life on the GLC units. The automatic voltage regulator provides precise voltage control, while the electronic isochronous governor assures precise frequency control. A digital controller features full instrumentation of engine and output power conditions. All GLC generators are prototype engineered, factory built and production tested. Field installed or Mod Express options are available including battery chargers, exhaust silencers, and enclosures. Industrial Diesel Liquid Cooled Generators
Whether it's providing primary power for a transcontinental ship, a remote copper mine, or supplying vital standby power for a large metropolitan computer center, Baldor IDLC generators are at work all over the globe. For peak shaving duty, IDLC generators can supply prime power in parallel with the utility. In the standby mode, the IDLC gensets can supply emergency power to all critical loads and selected loads as desired.
Every IDLC power system is designed, engineered, built and tested to

Grinders/Buffers

Grinders
Baldor’s industrial quality, single and three phase, bench and pedestal grinders are available having wheel diameters of from 6 to 14 inches. This well known line also includes diamond wheel and carbide tool grinders and abrasive belt grinders. Some designs of the abrasive belt grinders are supplied with a three position tiltable belt. All these grinder products are backed by a three-year warranty.

Buffers
Our industrial buffers range in size of 1/4 horsepower to a husky 7 1/2 horsepower. These buffers are designed for use with soft cloth wheels. Single-phase buffers are designed for 60 Hz operation, while all three-phase buffers are suitable for either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. All buffers are backed by Baldor's three-year warranty.

Polishing Lathes
Baldor’s polishing lathes have features preferred by dentists, dental lab technicians, jewelers, lapidary, and others requiring precise trouble free polishing. The tapered shafts accommodate chucks with standard dental taper. One side of Lathe #380WCT is equipped with the Wells “Super Quick” chuck. The ball bearings in all lathes are lubricated for life and sealed to prevent entry of dust and debris. All polishing lathes have a three-year warranty.
