AAM’s rigid, integral-drive, Salisbury-style and banjo hypoid rear axles are available in a wide range of sizes, gear ratios and differential configurations. AAM’s rear axles are designed to adapt easily to various track widths. Typical dimensions, ratios and configurations can be adjusted to meet specific customer requirements.

AAM is a leader in metal-form production for axle and driveline components, transmission components, power transfer unit / transfer case components, chassis and steering components, wheel hubs and spindles – from high volume applications to micro-alloyed parts, machined and assembly-ready for critical applications.

AAM process technology helps engineer-in mass-optimization, improved part performance and efficiency. Our engineering staff makes extensive use of finite element simulation of the metal for process to shorten lead time and optimize product quality.

AAM is the largest independent producer of forgings in North America, purchasing approximately 300,000 tons of SBQ steel per year, and producing 375,000 forgings per day on average.
