An efficient systems control center can provide an airline with reliable and safe daily performance. Training is key. Well-trained flight dispatch personnel are an invaluable asset to any airline operation.

A Part 121 Airline Dispatcher shares flight responsibility with the Captain. The Dispatcher plans each and every company flight considering weather, mechanical reliability, and operational needs of the airline. To do the job right the person at the desk must have a sound knowledge of flight and route planning.

Our Dispatch Training personnel have years of this kind of experience, training dispatch personnel for International and Domestic flight operations. This includes training for Enhanced Weather Information Systems (EWINS), which allows the Dispatcher to issue Flight Movement Forecasts (FMF). When a Part 121 or Part 135 operator is authorized to use an EWINS, the EWINS replaces all other sources of forecasts used to control flight operations.

We can train you at our facility or at your site.

Pricing is reasonable and tailored to your needs. Feel free to contact us about your training needs.

What we provide:
Complete Systems Training
Dispatch Release Formulation
Weather Interpretation and EWINS

About the Hazardous Materials Technical Support and Emergency Response Team
The ABX Air, Inc. Hazardous Materials Team is composed of 2 groups: Hazmat Hotline Specialists, and Chemical Emergency Response Technicians (CERT). While both groups interact with each other, they have seperate, distinct roles within the department.

The Hazmat Hotline is a resource that provides technical assistance to shippers of hazardous materials packages. The hotline is staffed 24/7/365 by Hazmat Specialists who provide customer service, assist with regulatory interpretations and answer questions on 49 CFR and IATA regulations. The Hotline assists in hazmat freight resolution, including follow-up to spill control, packaging problems, and procedural issues as they relate to hazardous materials movement. The Hotline also acts as a liason with FAA officials for compliance with regulatory issues pertaining to distressed freight at ILN or outbase stations.

Every member of the Chemical Emergency Response Team undergoes a comprehensive training program, which includes 36-hours of Ohio Volunteer Firefighter certification training, a minimum of 40-hours OSHA HAZWOPER Technician-level training, National Incident Management System (NIMS) training, and an assortment of industrial and emergency services safety and response programs. All members must pass an annual OSHA physical and fit test, to perform functions using respiratory protection. Several members of the team are also volunteer firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians in local communities. In addition to responding to spills in ABX Air operations, we also provide mutual aid to local communities at the request of fire departments and emergency management agencies.

ABX Air offers overnight service on a space available basis. Our A2A (airport to airport) program provides an affordable U.S. domestic shipping option by taking advantage of available space on the ABX Air network of aircraft. A2A provides a substantial savings compared to standard door-to-door services.
