Or process orientated Vs goal orientated.

Which is better?

You might think neither or "it's relative". Anyways this is not meant to be a strict debate so if you have something vague to share to the discussion that's cool. If you feel like getting technical that's cool too. Anything goes.

By process orientated I mean:
Thinking that the value is in the journey rather than the destination.

By goal orientated I mean:
Thinking that the journey is just a means to an end.

Where does the value lay? Or the better part of it at least.

For me I notice that I find value in the process. I can do something just for the sake of doing it regardless of the payoff(or consequences for that matter). On the other hand when I need to do something to simply get somewhere, I have a very hard time. This I would call my biggest weakness in life. The value I get from the process of doing something on the other hand is my biggest strength in life.

So which do you see value in and which do you think is better? Getting there, or how you got there?
