private and public education

We see a large difference between public and private sector education.

Is it because of the government or indifference of the masses at large? at the end of the day taxes are the fuel for public sector education with the government as the entrepreneur in the middle. So isn't the investors indifference at fault?
 
Well i think finance is the major difference between private and public education
In private education schools are controlled and operated by professional and for profit motive hence services provided in private schools are more attractive and much better than public schools. In private schools quality education with comfort is a major focal point
Whereas in case of
Public sector schools government or corporations control such schools and hence their major focus is on providing important and necessary education at low cost. Their major goal is to make people as much literate as they can, secondly government lack funds because in India tax collection is still very less as compared to other developed and developing countries so i think that is why government schools lack facilities and comforts like private schools.

This is a very interesting & important topic for discussion. As very rightly said by gurpreet, 'government/public schools lack the facilities & comfort like private school'. But at the same time we have to remember that a country like ours, where a large section of population can not even think of the elementary education, private schooling is a luxury. It is not the comfort or facilities which determine the standard of a school rather the 'quality education' is the criteria of excellence. Every year a large no. of students are coming out with true colors from these poor schools and competing neck to neck with their counterpart from the private schools. The state or the government should take all necessary measures to strengthen the public schools to promote education across the remotest corner of the country. Only this way we can minimise the differences between public & private schools.
 
private education is valued a lot,but public education introduces the kid to the practical picture of indian society
