• Crompton Greaves (CG) is an Indian multinational company engaged in design, manufacturing, and marketing of products related to power generation, transmission, and distribution based in Mumbai. Its part of Avantha Group • Crompton founded R.E.B. Crompton & Company in 1878. The company was merged with F.A Parkinson in 1927 to form Crompton Parkinson Ltd • Lala Karam Chand Thapar, an eminent Indian industrialist, bought Greaves Cotton, when the company was put up for sale. With this acquisition, Karam Chand Thapar gained control of several associated companies such as Crompton Parkison Works, Greaves Cotton and Crompton Parkinson Company. • The name Crompton Greaves Limited was adopted on 2 August 1966

AUTOTRANSFORMERS
• Autotransformers are frequently used in power applications to interconnect systems operating at different voltage classes, for example 400 kV to 220 kV for transmission. • For long distance rural power distribution lines, special autotransformers with automatic tap-changing equipment are inserted as voltage regulators, so that customers at the far end of the line receive the same average voltage as those closer to the source • We offer a wide range of products for single phase as well as three phase transformers considering transport limitations in some countries and also as per customer requirements.
MEDIUM POWER TRANSFORMERS
Medium power transformers are used in the distribution network. These transformers are usually applied to step down the voltage to the required level. The transformers are available with off-circuit tap changers and/or on-load tap changers for voltage regulation.
MOBILE TRANSFORMERS
Mobile transformers are used in mobile substations. These substations are used in emergency situations or as temporary solutions for the supply of electric power. Mobile transformers are very compact due to the application of special insulation techniques such as the application of Nomex insulation.
