CANARA Bank

? Canara Bank was founded by Shri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai, a . great visionary and philanthropist. ? In 1906 he has started a small bank a name called CANARA bank in Mangalore, then a small port town in Karnataka. One of the biggest commercial bank in India ? It was nationalized in 1969. ? In June 2006, the Bank completed a century of operation in the Indian banking industry. ? Today, Canara Bank occupies a premier position in the committe of Indian banks. ? 3595 branches & 2858 ATMs as on 31st march 2011 ? 223 branches for customers to use net banking, SMS/e-mail alerts for all transactions. ? As at March 2012, the total business of the Bank stood at 5,59,544 crore.
