Prepaid Mobile Service Will Banned in J&K

Here is a bad news for of Prepaid mobile phone subscribers in Jammu & Kashmir. The Ministry of Home Affairs today announced that Its has decided that no pre-paid mobile connections should be issued and existing pre-paid SIM cards should not be renewed in Jammu & Kashmir after November 01, 2009. As a result millions of PrepaidMobile service users may no longer be able to use their mobile phone connections from November 01.

According to the Press Release from the Ministry of Home Affairs “The Ministry has asked the Department of Telecommunications to take appropriate action in the matter for implementation of the decision. The step comes in the wake of the reports that proper verification is not being done while providing such pre-paid mobile connections by the service providers/vendors”

In some cases, a single person had been issued with multiple number of connections. The fake documents/identity numbers are also reportedly being used by the vendors particularly, in the case of pre-paid connections. This situation had given rise to serious security concerns. Hence, the decision.

This can affect nearly 38 lakh Mobile Subsribers of the state who use prepaid connections from various mobile service operators. The GSM Mobile Operator Airtel has nearly 19 lakh GSM subscribers followed by BSNL having 12 lakh and Aircel having 7 lakh. :SugarwareZ-048::SugarwareZ- GIV E UR OPINIONS 048::SugarwareZ-048::SugarwareZ-048::SugarwareZ-048::SugarwareZ-048::ban::ban::ban::ban:
